About this tournament
The Cowpie Masters Championship is back for its 2nd year in the spirit of Dave Alarcon. This event is open to masters players only, pro and amateur. $1000 will be added to the pro purse, once again donated by 2x MP65 World champion, Jay Gobrecht. Linc Morgan has also donated some funds, which will be used to supply every player, pro and amateur, with a Tacky Sack made especially for the Cowpie event. All players will also receive a commemorative cowbell, just like last year.
Amateur player packs will consist of a custom event Tacky Sack and a Just Playing Pico or Snipe Zing mini. The rest of the money available will be used for payouts to the Just Playing Disc Golf shop that will be on site all day or can be converted to online credit. Over 100% of entry fees will be given through player packs and payouts, as per PDGA B-Tier rules.
The top 40% of all pro fields will be paid out through PayPal, and the $1000 added cash will be distributed by the percentage of players entered into each division.
Entry fees for pros and amateurs will be $60.
Financial Breakdown (this is subject to change with changing costs and number of registrants):
All players will have the following deducted from gross entry fees:
-$3 for PDGA player fee
-$2 for sanctioning fee/pavilion rentals/insurance
-$5 for trophies and supplies
Amateurs will have these additional items deducted from gross entry fees:
-$10 for custom Taki Sak
-$4 for JP Snipe or Pico Zing mini
This leaves $50 from each pro and $36 from each amateur going to the prize fund.
