Columbus Match Play Championship (Tier 2)

We have posted the match-ups in the Columbus Match Play Disc Golf Group on Facebook as well as emailing the link to the bracket out to everyone tonight. Please use the next week to set up your matches for week 1. If you need assistance reaching out to your opponent, please let me know.

Course specifics and information will be sent out this week. Looking forward to getting it started. Please reach out if you have any questions.

The second week of match play is underway!! We do have a couple of matches from week 1 finishing up today, but other than that the bracket should be updated. Please let me know if you have any questions or need assistance setting up your next match.

In light of the exceptional weather that we are predicted this week, I do not mind if people play starting tomorrow. I will finish up the full caddy/event guide tomorrow and get that emailed out to everyone.

For Sunbury, the only OB are the property lines. This may come into play on the following holes:

Hole 4 (Long past the basket.)
Hole 5 (Far-right of the fairway.)
Hole 8 (Far-right and past the basket.)
Hole 9 (Far-right of the fairway)
Hole 10 (Far-right of the fairway.)
Hole 12 ... more

Most of the property lines are marked with an old fence, please use your best judgment on these as I do know it's not the best OB line. Please give the benefit to the player on these calls. We are trusting that all players can make the right call on themselves and their opponent.

All water is casual. Either play it as it lies, from the water or to obtain relief from a casual area, the player's lie may be relocated to the nearest lie which is farther from the target and is on the line of play, at the nearest point that provides relief.

All players will have two weeks to complete their first match.

Alright guys and gals, both brackets are officially full. I have everyone entered into an online bracket. I will wait until March 7th to randomly sort everyone and publish the brackets the same day. That will give everyone a week to schedule their first round.

Week 1 will start on March 14th and all rounds must be completed by March 20th. The first course on the schedule is Kinslow DGC at Freedom Park in Sunbury, Ohio. Tier 1 players will be playing the long tee pads and Tier 2 will play shor ... more

Tee assignments for Alum will be published in the complete caddy guide (will be published when the matchups are announced) and also posted here and on dgscene before week 4.

Please remember this bracket is for players with a PDGA rating of 915 or below. To qualify for this bracket you MUST either be a rated PDGA member or have played in one of the Central Ohio Winter Series events in the D3 or below.

If you sign up for the incorrect bracket you will be moved to the Tier 1 bracket (if spots are available) with the option for a refund if you do not want to move. If there are no spots available in the Tier 1 bracket you will be sent a refund.
