About this tournament
Color of Disc Golf is a tournament for players of color to connect, relax, and share their thoughts. It will be filmed in order to raise visibility of mxn and womxn of color playing disc golf and to show new players how fun it can be. There will be discussion questions posed throughout the course, and a group discussion between the two rounds. The film will also highlight these discussions. There will be a national invitation for players of color to play and participate in the discussion through recordings that may be submitted to the filmmaker. Non-POC are also welcome to record their perspectives and add to the discussion through social media. Social distancing will be observed at this event.
Only Boundary Waters 1 will be used.
The Prodigy Classic divisions will use any PDGA approved discs. The Aria 175g divisions will exclusively use an Aria 175g ultimate disc (provided). *The Aria 175g division has closed due to lack of interest. Please email the TDs if you wish to register.
Player packs include: 1 Prodigy disc, 1 Aria disc, 1 Spin neckie, 1 VC armband.
Due to COVID restrictions, you must bring your own lunch.
We are seeking sponsors to fund the documentary filming and refund some of the players' entry fees.
The total player cap is 40. Division caps will be adjusted closer to the tournament (Oct 3rd), and those waitlisted for each division will be moved into their respective divisions. This is to give the womxns' divisions the best chance of being filled.
Please email Devin ([email redacted]) if you are in need of financial or logistical assistance.
