2024 PLAYERS PACK:
- 2 ACE RACE DISCS
- 2 DISC MARKERS
- 2024 ENAMEL PIN
- DISCRAFT TOWEL
Format:
Two rounds of 18 holes, one throw per hole per player.
Course layout:
Holes are generally between 125 and 225feet. Most holes will have a temporary tee.
Rules of play:
Players are required to use the player pack discs, and only these discs. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of using the second disc from the pack. Only one throw per player per hole. Groups of up to 8-10 are generally acceptable (or more at TD discretion).
As a sanctioned event, everyone will be required to keep score. You will mark “A” for aces and “M” for metal hits. The player with the most aces after the second round is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tiebreaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then held to determine the event winner.
Players must register by 9/5/2024 to be guaranteed a spot in the event. This is to ensure all registered players will receive a player pack.
As a XC-tier event, non member fees have been waived by the PDGA.
This is a “True Amateur” event. The true spirit of organized amateur athletics is competing in a sport purely for the love of that sport and the act of competition itself. Trophies will be presented to the top finishers of the tournament rather than a payout in merchandise. First place trophies will be awarded to each division.
All registered players will be eligible for CTPs at no additional cost. There will be extra CTPs for the women’s divisions.
Things to be aware of while at James Island County Park:
1. The JICP disc golf course cannot be closed for the event and must remain open for public use during the tournament. Please respect the patrons that might be onsite that are not playing in the tournament.
2. The park opens at 8AM. The gate to the climbing wall and disc golf course will not open until 8:30AM.
3. Alcohol is not permitted on the disc golf course.
4. The JICP gate entrance fee is $2 per person and is not covered through the tournament registration cost. You will be given a receipt when you go through the gate. If you leave and come back without the receipt you will be charged again.
All event participants will be required to sign an event waiver through Disc Golf Scene and the day of the event.
