Anthony Vandermarel June 13 at 8:38pm
When will tee times be posted?
James Duong June 13 at 6:06pm
Hi Cara! Just looking over the players guide and I saw that this Friday from 4pm-9pm will be the players check-in and meeting. Is this mandatory or is there any other way we can check in without making the drive?
Hi James. You can also check in on Saturday before your tee time. We ask that everyone arrive 15 minutes before they are scheduled to tee off to get any questions answered and to get set-up on PDGA Live Scoring.

Anybody have a mosquito report? Always nice to know for wardrobe and deet selection.
Thanks!
Hey Scotty. The mosquitos are not nearly as bad as White Spruce but Albion has very lush, very tall rough so ticks are in play.
I'm out here now and the deer fly are biting. Only had a couple mosquitoes.

With the doubles event on Friday, will we still be able to get out for practice rounds on Friday?
Michael Wilson June 11 at 3:14pm
I'm signed up for MA2 but just got my first rating (954) from my first tournament a couple weeks ago which seems to be too high now - should I move up to MA1? How do I do that if so?
Hi Michael. Let's take a look and figure out the right division for you. I'll send you a separate note to get you sorted.

For those who haven't played the course before, here is a fly through so you can see what to expect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CF0LtqjRcr4
Thanks for all the great contributions you make to disc golf Mr. Galbraith!

For people who are camping for the weekend, you're allowed a second car (for a fee) on your camp site. It might be helpful for the parking situation if you allowed a non-camping person to park at your site for their round.

Hello all, just adding this here (because hopefully everyone registered for the tournament is seeing all of these posts). Link to a Google Doc regarding a potluck for Saturday evening.

Josh: Maybe add camp site numbers as well, so we can find each other?
Hi Sean, I'm staying in one of the cabins but not sure which one yet (and I don't know exactly where they are in relation to the camp sites). Will update as I get more info.

Cara: Are you planning on adjusting the pars for any of the divisions, to create new "courses" for rating propagation?
For clarity to all who may not have experience with the PDGA ratings system, it’s not your score vs par that matters. It is your score relative to the scratch scoring average which is the score expected from a 1000 rated player. This is determined by ratings propagators who are playing your sp ... more
Don't make to course easier for MA50. I love a good challenge. Even if it sometimes bites me in the a$$.

Hello everyone! Please keep an eye out for a Player’s Manual that will be shared with event participants in the next week or so. It is our hope that this will provide everything players need to know about the tournament, but please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions in the meantime.
Todd Billo June 3 at 3:53pm
Hello Tournament Directors! Just wondering if there will be a parking overflow/new area that golfers should be directed to?
Hello Todd! Extended parking will be available further down from the existing spots across from the washrooms. Space is also being reserved near Apple Cove and Spruce Cove for parking and will be actively managed during the event.
If you are staying in one of the campgrounds on-site, we encourage you to walk to your tournament round. Please also consider carpooling to reduce the number of cars on-site if you’re coming in from out of town.

Hello everyone! I wanted to provide a quick update on course conditions as we are quickly approaching tournament season.
Park staff is working hard to get the course into tip top shape before your tournament practice rounds.
Holes 1-15 on the Albion Albatross have been mowed. Mowing activities will continue over the next few weeks.
Please note that with all the rain this season, the grass has been growing extra quickly while also limiting the days when the course is dry enough to be mo ...

The TRCA team is working hard to get a system setup for weekly maintenance.Thank you for everyone's patience. It's pretty amazing to consider that this course only formally launched a month ago!
Update - As of yesterday Monday June 3rd -Hole 1-5 play well. Holes 6, 9,10,11 have a 10' wide path mowed from teepad to basket. The fairways are definitely not being maintained properly yet. I really hope this is resolved ASAP - searching for your disk in knee to waist high grass on the fairway or circle 1 is brutal.
I played a practice round yesterday. Hole 6 has a fairway landing area but it is not visible from the teepad and the 250' carry over the rough will be an issue for shorter throwers. Hole 9 definitely needs a cutout for a landing area down to and around the corner at the bottom of the hill. It ... more

Hi. Just wondering when we will have a better approximation of our division tee times? Have some things I need to work around and it'd be great to know. Thanks.
Hi Scott. I will be removing and combining divisions one month before the tournament (i.e. May 15) based on the registration list. I plan on sharing a general idea of tee times for all divisions within a short time after that, which should help with planning your days during the event. I’m no ... more

Is there a layout or caddy guide of the course available somewhere? I’m not seeing one on UDisc
Hi Willem. The course layout that will be used in the tournament is the Blue layout which is available on UDisc. We hope to have a simple Player’s Manual available in time for the event. Please note that this is the first year for this tournament and we hope to continue building out additional tournament infrastructure more fully in future years.
To confirm, is it the course called “The Albion Albatross Course” on UDisc? Thanks.

Won’t be able to make this tournament, I have sent in my withdrawal, please refund whenever possible! Thanks:)
Tomas Bujnak March 18 at 7:32pm
Is the players meeting on Friday mandatory? Would save me a trip up there Friday and then again Saturday morning. Thanks, Tomas.
Players will be able to check-in on Friday evening. Amateur participants will be able to pick up their player’s pack during this time. Regarding the Player’s Meeting, this will be an opportunity for players to clarify the course rules and ask questions pertaining to the tournament. Whil ... more
Yes, anyone who is unable to get their player's pack Friday evening will be able to pick it up throughout the tournament. Please arrive well before your scheduled tee time as this will help keep things on track for everyone!

Is there a cost to get into the park on top of the tournament fees?
Tournament participants will be able to enter the park for free on tournament days (both Saturday and Sunday).
Jorge Jensen February 29 at 6:36pm
Hi Jeff and Cara. I don't see any division caps. Are you allocating any numbers of registrants to any divisions or is this strictly a first come first served process until the tournament is full?
Hi Jorge. The divisions would be on a first come first served basis, until the tournament is full.
Hi Jorge. This tournament registration will be on a first come, first served basis once registration goes live this evening at 8 pm. There have been a growing number of events occurring in Ontario disc golf over the past couple of years and fewer issues with tournaments selling out in the first coup ... more

Hey Jeff and Cara thank you for putting on their event at a course in my home town. I was just wondering if the remaining $70.00 of the tournament fee, is going towards our players packs for the Ams? Thank you.
Hi Marcus. All ams will receive a player’s pack. We are still working on a few details as it relates to this and the size of player’s packs which will also determine the extent of merch outs.
I think it is just for propagating purposes. So pro ratings don’t affect the amateurs
My understanding is just different par for a few holes.
Pro rating should affect the amateur ratings. That's how the system is supposed to work......the more propagators on the same layout, the more accurate the rating calculation.
Hole 6 and 16 become a par 5. Holes 11 and 12 become a par 4.
Ok awesome thanks guys!!!
