For the past 4 years Cedar Grove has been transformed to many different layouts. Some were good changes, and some were bad changes. Well here we sit in 2024, the layout is FINALLY set. Yes...finally.
We have a great 20 hole layout for you to play at Cedar Grove. As we say it is a "Brutiful" course. It's technical, and has shots and basket locations not seen anywhere else around here. It was rated #3 in Indiana on UDisc in 2023.
Over the years we have had people ask about hole sponsorship. I just shrugged it off and deflected it because I wasn't interested, and honestly didn't think people would be interested. But now is the time, with a set layout, to open up each tee pad/hole layout to sponsorship.
Most course sponsorship is $200-400. We aren't even going to go there. We are going to go with $40, and renewable each year for $10. With this donation, you will get your name on the tee area for your selected sponsored hole. You will work with Cheryl. It has room for your name, and then maybe a logo or a quote or something. It has to be course appropriate, and again Cheryl will work with you on it. They are 6"x9"inches in size. See the above picture to see a sample.
On top of getting a sponsorship sign on the hole you select, the $5 donation we ask for casuals to be donate, would be waived for any casual round you would like to play. If you play 8 times a year the first year, and 2 every other year, it pays for itself. You still need to text to check for availability. This doesn't give you 24/7 access.
We also will have an event that is just for sponsors. That's pretty good value.
What will this money go towards? Pretty simple, @$1300 will go towards a new mower deck. I absolutely abused the mower deck on my zero turn, and it is missing pieces, dented, and barely hanging on. The rest of the money will go towards gravel to backfill tee pads, and add in some paths where needed. I would also like to get more concrete to make some of the smaller tee pads bigger. 100% of this money will go towards Cedar Grove. The reality is I spend $120 a month on a port o let, and around $80+ on gas per month. We don't get enough casual play to cover these costs, and to get a new mower deck and other improvements. That is where this fundraiser comes from.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the course, here is a video that shows each hole. Every hole has a short (Green), intermediate (Purple), and long (Blue) layout.
