Campbell River - Island Series - October 17 / 18 2020
About this tournament
Welcome to the return of Island Series play! We will be taking the following precautions to be able to have this tournament with COVID19:
- Maximum 48 players per day (Provincial Health Order cap at 50 ppl/day = 48 players/day and 2 club volunteers
- Digital Scoring via UDisc required
- All players must be BCDS Members - both for insurance purposes and because we are following BCDS 'Return to Play Plan' (see attached Flyer for full contents)
- Digital Registration and Digital Payouts (no in-person awards)
- Tee Times are a MUST - please select a time in registration and play with members of your traveling party if possible (no player's meeting)
- No handling of other people's discs
- No caddies
- Hand sanitizer will be available and the baskets sanitized after the first round
-Must live on Vancouver Island to play (regional players only)
Saturday: Open & Masters
Sunday: Advanced / Intermediate / Novice
Players must answer "NO" to the following questions:
1. Do you feel unwell?
2. Do you have a cough or cold?
3. Do you have a fever?
4. Have you been in contact with someone who has had COVID19 in the last 14 days?
5. Have you travelled outside Canada within the last 14 days?
If any of the answers to the above questions change between your registration and the date of the event, 100% refunds will be provided. You will be asked these same questions on the day of the event.
Acepot: Starts @ $188 (carry over from Qualicum in February 2020)
Gold pads (9 golds, 10 blues) = Open & Advanced
Blue pads (19 blues) = Masters, Intermediate
Red pads (19 reds) = Novice
$35 fee breakdown:
$23 - Cash payout to 45% of field
$2 - Ace Pot
$2 - CTP
$2 - Island Series overall winners
$1 - Island Series fund
$5 - E-transfer fees, COVID19 signs and sanitation supplies (any left over $$$ will go towards new baskets for Campbell River course)
