Cache Valley Ice Bowl 2023
About this tournament
It is time for the Ice Bowl Season, and we are super excited in Cache Valley to run it again this year. We are raising funds for the Cache Food Pantry again this year. Our goal for the year is to raise $500 for the charity. As was the case last year, we will not have any cash payouts and this will be a prize only event. Every player will get a player's pack to be determined at a later date but it will include at least a tournament stamped disc. We also plan to have a handful of full color Buzz's to use as CTP prizes for each division.
Like last year, we will be selling raffle tickets to raise funds for the food bank. Ask folks from last year, we put a lot into the raffle. Same this year. The way this works is you buy mulligans to use in the tournament for any shots except putts. Any unused mulligans can become raffle tickets at the end of the second round. Mulligans are $2 each and will be sold day of only.
This is always a really fun event and it is a nice break from the increasingly competitive tournament scene. So come prepared to laugh a lot and have fun in the snow and cold. If you want to play with certain folks, no worries as we will not be creating any card groups until the morning of the event. You can simply group up and make a card at the event, just no groups larger than 4, please. We will plan to keep cards the same for both rounds to give everyone the best chance to play with their friends.
A course note here, Smithfield is normally a 12 hole course, but we will be putting in extra holes to make it a full 18 hole layout that we can play twice. There aren't many opportunities to play this layout, so take advantage of the chance if you can.
We are planning to make this a Udisc event and keep score electronically. Feel free to email Austin with any questions you may have.
