Friday, July 15th from noon to 4, during check-in, we will also be running flex-dubs on the East course. Bring your own partner and see how bad you can shred the East, $20 per team for Pros and $10 per team for Ams... 100% payout. And don't forget to stick around for Friday night random draw dubs on the West course, $10 per player.

For all of our friends playing in the CCR Open this weekend or those just looking for something to do, we will have the first annual "Night at the Woods" on Saturday from 5:30 - 8:30 pm. There will be skills competitions, a mini disc tourney, dinner provided by Art's Bar (5 bucks or less - pre order) and a Glow round sponsored by Luna kicking off at 9:00 pm! You may begin pre-ordering your dinner from Arts as early as Friday at check-in or on anytime Saturday before 1 pm.

Also during the "Night at the Woods", we will have an open Flymart/Swap Meet onsite. All of you slinging discs from your trunk or those looking for rare discs and good deals, come on down and get in the action!

We're hoping to hire/acquire a local musician to come in and play some tunes for an hour or two during these 2 event, but if that doesn't work out, we'll have something setup... maybe hook an Ipod up to a PA and let it play at random.... or just a free for all jam session for anyone who wants to partake.
To Cap off this wonderful fun filled evening, beginning at 9 pm...

You may begin signing up for all these events Friday during check-in and throughout the day Saturday at tournament central... but you are not required to signup ahead of time, that just helps us coordinate things a little more easily.

Some other Fun stuff to plan for.... there will be three raffles taking place with 6 chances to win!
The first raffle will be for a killer mini basket. All the money raised for the basket will go directly into the Pro Woman's purse
The second raffle will be for a $100 gift certificate to Lost Tiger tattoo, located only a few blocks from Grand Woods. All the money raised from the tattoo raffle will go directly into the Pro Masters purse.
The Third raffle is your chance to win it BIG. It's the raffle for your chance to get into the final 9 skins match, where at least $500 is on the line for the top 4 Open finishers and 4 lucky raffle winners! The final 9 skins will take place at The Woods after all the scores are tallied.... and believe me, this year the layout will be epic!
So get ready my friends! And come prepared to have the time of your life!

cost for the raffles will depend on the raffle, and I don't think we've set a price on all the raffles yet. There will be an ace pool and there may or may not be a 50/50...

Reminder- it does cost $3-5 (county resident or non) to get into Burchfield park... so please don't forget to plan for that and carpool if you need to.

A note to all potential and current CCR Open attendees: If you do not pre-register here, on the Scene, you must sign-up Friday in person at Grand Woods... There will be no day-off registration. I will be at Tournament Central, Grand Woods from 12 (noon) - 7 pm for any one to either register or check-in and get your player's pack. If you don't check-in Friday, and have pre-reg'ed, plan on picking up your player's pack either between rounds or after the second round Saturday.

CCR Open Update: Reminder, it does cost to enter Burchfield Park. $3 for Ingham Co. residents, $5 for non and $4 to play the course for the day. For the tournament, players will be required to pay to enter the park (I highly recommend carpooling), but your wristbands will handed out when you check-in Friday, so no need to fuss with that before your round.
This afternoon, 7/9, the Burchfield will have sheets of paper with the tournament layout/pin positions at the front gate. So if you're coming into town, be sure to ask for one as well as a score card.

I seem to get blocked every time I try to pre-reg on PayPal? I won't be getting into Lansing until late Friday night so I can't sign in early. Can I mail a check or something to pre-reg, where to?

More CCR Open news... The West course at Grand Woods is now in! The pads are not marked yet, but the will be soon. Because of some big event this weekend at the Woods, the East course wont be in until early next week, hopefully Monday.
*Hole 2 at Burchfield- it is mandatory to throw left of the bush that is on the right side of the pad... this forces the shot over the wall. There will be a spotter there to regulate play.

Red Roof Inn is part of the Wyndham group, which offers a PDGA discount, and there are a few in the area... one right down the road from the Woods.
