Burnt Turkey 3: Fowl Play Powered by Hocking Hills Disc Golf

The LDGA is proud to present The Burnt Turkey 3: Fowl Play! This year we are so honored to announce that we are sponsored by Hocking Hills Disc Golf!

Vanquished, Once again by our Hero’s and their loyal knights. The Turkey shrieks his last as he is sent once again into the eternal flames. All is safe and once again peace falls upon the land. But now From the depths of Nifheim the goddess Hel smiles in anticipation. For she alone knows that the time is coming and she will once again release the Turkey to reek havoc once more upon us all. The time is drawling nigh and the shadow will soon fall. Will our hero’s be ready or will they fall to the wicked birds deadly claws find out this November 13th. We will prevail or we will dine that night in halls of Valhalla.

The Burnt Turkey is a bring your own partner, diablo doubles tournament to benefit the PHX Fund. It has two pools and four divisions. Pool A will consist of MPO and MA1. Pool B will consist of MA2 and MA3. Entry fee is $80 a team, with $10 of each entry going towards the PHX Fund. This year we have added Preferred Teeing for all divisions. Preferred Teeing will allow your team to start on the closest tees to tournament central for the first round. At Flat Rocks that would be holes 1,2,3,9,and 10. And at Eagles Nest holes 1,2,5,and 6. An extra $40 from Preferred Teeing goes straight to the PHX Fund. There will only be 18 Preferred Tee spots available, and will be first come first served. Winners of the professional division will leave with $1000, while the amateur divisions will be payed out through Hocking Hills Disc Golf. All MPO payouts will be sent out through paypal. We will have CTP’s and vendors. There will also be one $50 bounty hole on each course. Eagle 3 on hole 3 at Flat Rocks & eagle 3 on hole 14 at Eagle’s Nest will earn the bounty. Any ties for the bounty’s with be split amongst the bounty winners. There will be a raffle with proceeds Also going to the PHX fund.

The burnt turkey will take place on two courses: Flat Rocks & Eagle’s Nest. The B Pool will start on Flat Rocks & switch to Eagle’s Nest for the second round. A Pool will start on Eagles Nest & switch to Flat Rocks for the second round. The second round will start 1 hour after the last card comes in for each respective pool. Caddy books will be created to guide the players through each course, giving detailed instructions on each set of the Diablo format holes.

Diablo Doubles breaks down into three parts. Breaking the course down into three sets of 6 holes each. Layouts can be four types 1. Best Shot 2. Worst Shot 3. Alternating Shot 4. Combined Score.
