The LDGA is proud to present the Burnt Turkey II: The Revenge!
Last year the Schick brothers defeated the turkey in a heroic, glorious fashion, banishing the burnt foul for another year. However, as November approaches, the monstrous raptor raises his repulsive head to once again call out another challenger. Will the Schick brothers triumph once again or will a new set of lowly heros rise up from the ashes to defeat this devilish bird of prey? Find out on November 21, 2020.
The Burnt Turkey is a bring your own partner, diablo doubles tournament to benefit the PHX Fund. It has two divisions: amateur & professional. Entry fee is $60 a team, with $10 of each entry going towards the PHX Fund. Winners of the professional division will leave with $1000, while the winners of the amateur division will leave with $500. Paying out at least the top ten in each division. All payouts will be sent out through paypal. We will have CTP’s and vendors. There will also be one $50 bounty hole on each course. Eagle 2 on hole 9 at Flat Rocks & eagle 3 on hole 14 at Eagle’s Nest will earn the bounty. Any ties for the bounty’s with be split amongst the bounty winners. There will be a raffle with proceeds Also going to the PHX fund.
The burnt turkey will take place on two courses: Flat Rocks & Eagle’s Nest. The Amateur Division will start on Flat Rocks & switch to Eagle’s Nest for the second round. Professional Division will start on Eagles Nest & switch to Flat Rocks for the second round. The second round will start 1 hour after the last card comes in for each respective division. Caddy books will be created to guide the players through each course, giving detailed instructions on each set of the Diablo format holes.
Diablo Doubles breaks down into three parts. Breaking the course down into three sets of 6 holes each. Layouts can be four types 1. Best Shot 2. Worst Shot 3. Alternating Shot 4. Combined Score
