What is the layout for MA1? Maybe someone asked already but just curious

Mike Morton   October 24 at 3:07pm

To save Simon replying while he is getting everything ready:

Mike Morton   October 24 at 3:07pm

Sunday two rounds. 20 holes - Open + MA1, MA50, MA60 & MA4 Divisions Round 1 Longs to Yellow Round 1 MA 50, MA 60 & MA4 Shorts to Yellow Round 2 Shorts to Red All Div.

Mike Morton   October 24 at 3:08pm

formatting dropped - but for MA1 - Round 1 Longs to yellow, round 2 shorts to red

Chris Mehes    October 21 at 6:24pm

Hi Simon. Will you be sending out the OB map this week? Specifically 13B?!

Simon Shaw   October 21 at 7:34pm

yes, and there is a sign at the tee and on the billboard at the front.

Edwin Gailits    October 21 at 11:50am

Is the Bronte course cart friendly?

Simon Shaw   October 21 at 12:29pm

Yes

Matthew Downer    October 20 at 4:05am

Is it 8 AM check in or 8 AM tee off?

Simon Shaw   October 20 at 3:48pm

Park opens at 8, thinking 8:30-45 out to holes 9ish tee off.

Matthew Downer   October 20 at 10:16pm

Sounds good. Thanks!

Ryan Rosner   October 22 at 1:23pm

Excellent. Thank you!

Dario Zgrablic    October 4 at 6:49pm

Do we have a rough-ish schedule for the tourney? Ex. When can we roughly expect round 1 and round 2? Trying to plan for after the Classic.

Simon Shaw   October 4 at 7:47pm

20 holes, 80 players, 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day subtract players, division by 4, carry the holes, factor 4 knots, plus lunch. Roughly 6pm we crack the beers. Just guessing though.

Dario Zgrablic   October 5 at 12:43am

Bwahahhahah too good

Edwin Gailits    September 28 at 10:08pm

Because there was already someone on the waitlist for MA60 I entered MA50. If possible please move me to MA 60 if you open the division to more players.

Simon Shaw   September 30 at 4:45pm

All full up for now. Will keep this in mind.

Simon Shaw   October 15 at 1:57pm

Hey Edwin. Made the change for you to MA60

Edwin Gailits   October 18 at 1:52pm

Amazing - thanks very much

Aaron Ward    September 26 at 8:15pm

I see the description reads 20 holes. Will temp holes be added? Looking to practice the tournament layouts in the coming weeks. Thanks!

Thanks

Aaron Ward   October 6 at 12:59am

Another layout question: where will the red baskets be for holes 13 and 15? Is UDisc accurate? Is the second temp hole sharing a basket with red 15?

Simon Shaw   October 7 at 6:23pm

In the regular placement. We will be borrowing 2 for the event.

Laura Wiese    September 24 at 8:19pm

Hi! Hoping to get into FP40 :) removed my other waitlist for MA1

Garrett Plant    September 13 at 4:13pm

If we leave it blank do we not get a patch? Or is there still something on the patch it just won't have custom text?

Simon Shaw   September 13 at 5:03pm

Why would you leave it blank? My quote is for a 160 patches so I may just put TEAM BRONTE I’ll figure it out?

Garrett Plant   September 16 at 2:12pm

I didn't understand what it was for so I left it blank and I can't go back and edit it.

Garrett Plant   September 16 at 2:15pm

If I get 12 characters, can my patch say: GP #128079

Lynh Nguyen    September 4 at 12:13am

What does the registration mean for value of the Velcro patch?

Simon Shaw   September 4 at 12:53am

?

Lynh Nguyen   September 4 at 1:29am

There’s a field in registration that says custom Velcro patch

Jason Chan   September 5 at 2:23pm

The backpack has a section on it where you can place velcro patches. As part of the AM players pack the backpack comes with a custom patch that you have up to 12 characters to put on the patch

Patrick Walker    August 17 at 2:27am

Just to confirm; MA50 is playing long tees first round?

Patrick Walker   August 22 at 6:23pm

Guess I shouldn’t have paid into the ace pot

Patrick Walker   August 22 at 6:25pm

Just assumed we’d be playing the same tees as all the other ams

Simon Shaw   September 3 at 6:34pm

Changing my answer to NO just for you Patrick.

Chantal Naud    August 13 at 5:03pm

I'm interested but would anyone be willing to be my ride to and from the GO station?

Lynh Nguyen   September 4 at 12:08am

Likely can do this

Jason Baston aka Judge Havoc    August 12 at 8:35pm

Do we still have to pay the park entry free?

Dario Zgrablic   August 12 at 9:59pm

Of all the Bronte tournaments I've played, none have included the park entry fee in the tournament fee. My suggestion would be to try to find someone to carpool in with, and split the cost!

Chad Ecker   August 13 at 3:08pm

Park fees not included. Can easily walk or bike in for free.
