About this tournament
Break Out, Michiana! Summer Mini Series #1 - Finally Back
A Sunday Mini
PDGA sanctioned C-tier
What’s a Mini?
- A mini tournament is one round of golf, 18-24 holes followed by a field cut to the top 3 or 4 competitors in amateur divisions, and all Open players above the payout line, for a final 9 holes.
The name of the game for a Mini, is efficient. So we can all enjoy our afternoon afterwards.
There is no walk-up registration on the day of the event you may paymentless pre-register and pay day-of.
Finally Back - Mini #1
George Wilson Park
Playing 21 holes in cards of 3 wherever available, even if this means playing with card mates from a different division. Hole order is 1, 2, 6-18 including the letter holes. Skipping holes 3-5 during the round for sake of time.
Final 9 on holes 1-9, shotgun start, except with ghost cards on hole 1 for all MPO qualifiers.
At each individual Sunday or Saturday Mini, Amateur Divisions are trophy only and Open divisions payout 100% of net entry fees. On the flip side, there are three Minis in the series and amateur divisions will payout vouchers to Michiana Pro Shop for overall series winners, and Open will be trophy only for the overall series standings.
Must have at least 3 participants to form a division.
Because of it being trophy only, All amateur entries will be entered into a multi-winner raffle for some excellent prizes, including an entry into Battle in the Bend.
This series is to help get revved up for Battle in the Bend, both for competitors and our tournament staff. We will be doing paperless scoring, live scoring on PDGA preferred, UDisc scorecard screenshot will also suffice. There will be no paper scorecards accepted or distributed for these events.
There will be no Players Meeting, we are doing our best to avoid congregating en masse through these trying times. Player check-in will be right up front near hole 1. If any payments are owed these will be accepted at this time. Please bring exact change, so as to avoid extra unnecessary exchanges.
Battle in the Bend Fundraiser - Bundle O CTPs
$10/person for 7 different $1/head CTP holes.
Ace Fund $5.
In case there is no Ace Hit, there will be a CTP during the round on Hole 10. Two flags on the hole; if your disc is closer than either of the flags, remove the furthest of the two to mark your position. The two closest throws on hole 10 during the round will split the Ace pot if it goes unclaimed after the Final 9.
Prizes to be awarded via Electronic Payment if available, or in cash only if absolutely necessary.
Both of these items are optional, if you feel uncomfortable with using the flags you are not obligated to participate.
Please check back regularly for updates.
Stay safe, stay healthy.
