Boo at the Blue

A big thanks to Joe & Denise Gill for allowing Disc Baron and the Grand Rapids Disc Golf Association to hold this Halloween Special Doubles Event at Blue Gills.

The Boo at the Blue will be held on Saturday, October 29th at Blue Gill DGC in Wayland, MI. The tournament will include one rounds of 24 holes and one round of 18 holes of disc golf in doubles format, BRING YOUR OWN PARTNER - COSTUMES REQUIRED. There will be 5 Divisions offered for this event (Pro, Am, Mixed, Women and Juniors).


Registration:

1) Cashless registration online - comment with your team name, player names (PDGAs if applicable) and division
2) Prepaid registration online or At Disc Baron (4485 Plainfield Ave NE Ste 206, Grand Rapids, MI 49525)
3) Any spots left day of the event will be available for first come first serve registration for anyone who did not prepay and register.


COSTUMES REQUIRED:

All players are required to dress in costumes for this event. Costumes must be worn for the entirety of the 1st round. If a player does not wear their costume for the entire 1st round, a 5 stroke penalty will be assessed. Players are encouraged to stay in costume for the 2nd round, but it is not required. $2 from every team entry will be pooled for a Best Costume Contest.


Players Pack:

AM divisions will receive their choice of Discmania DDx, PD, MD3 and P2. Only select quantities are available in the PD, MD3 and P2. Any extra players pack discs will be available for sale during lunch and after the event for $10 for any participants.


Greens Fees:

$10 from every team’s entry fee will be given to Joe Gill for continued improvements on the disc golf course.


Format:

1 round of 24 holes and 1 round of 18 holes - Both rounds will consist of partners best doubles play


Ace Pool & 50/50 -

$6 Ace Pool and $4 Closest to the Pin 50/50 will be available for teams to enter.


Divisions:

Only 5 Divisions will be offered for this event; Pro, Am, Mixed, Women and Juniors



Prizes:

Disc Baron will be providing prizes on several holes for all divisions, including CTPs and LPs


Lunch Break:

Lunch break will last approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes after the last group has turned in their card.


Lunch:

We will have Brisket, Cheesy Potatoes, snacks and water available for lunch.


Raffle:

Disc Baron will be raffling several items.


Payouts:

100% of Division Entry Fees, will be paid out to the approximate top 1/3 of each division, less the $10 Greens Fee, players pack for AMs, costume contest entry and lunch. Amateur payouts will be provided by Disc Baron in the form of vouchers to Disc Baron’s retail or online store. COUPONS WILL NEED TO BE USED AT THE STORE OR ONLINE. PRODUCT WILL NOT BE BROUGHT THE DAY OF THE EVENT. Winners will have until 11/29/16 to redeem their vouchers. Vouchers must be used in one transaction and no change will be provided.
