About this tournament

Welcome to the 2nd annual Bob's Berth Bash! This event is aimed at bringing the community together for Bob Rardin, a BRDGC Club member who contributed a lot of time and work on the Northend Courses. It's open to the public and includes 1 round of 18 holes followed by a provided lunch. If there's interest, we'll also play a few disc golf games following lunch.

We're pleased to award berths at this event to send representatives of our community to the Michigan State Championships.

An optional $5 Ace Pool will be open during registration. If no one hits an ace, there will be a throw off for the pot.

We'll have a CTP and LP on holes 13 West and 15 East.

Round layout:
West (from all short tees, 10 holes) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 14, 15, 16
East (from all long tees, 8 holes) 2, 6, 7, 8, 15, 16, 17, 1

We will accept cashless registration in the normal way - just comment in the Comments section that you want to cashless register. You may also register in person at the event, but you will not have a lunch guaranteed.

Who's Bob?
Starting with framing in the long tee on 15 East with his brother, Fred, Bob continued to put countless hours in volunteering on the West course cutting in fairways, working on the mound tee at 13 West and building the bench there, and clearing fallen trees throughout both courses. He's joyfully been a disc golf ambassador for many years, sharing his love of the game and community, and promoting involvement of both players and businesses. For the last few years, Bob's been battling pancreatitis, a terminal diagnosis. It was his wish last year to see his many disc golf friends at Northend and to add to that list by making new friends. We're pleased to turn that wish into a tradition. While his health is getting more fragile, he plans on attending this year. We've arranged for friends to drive him both ways from his current home in Harrison, MI to help make his trip easier. That said, his health could prevent him from attending. Regardless, Bob will derive great joy knowing his friends are playing in his honor.
