Teeing from the side will be allowed. I will be marking the hazard on 11 and the road/parking lot on 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, & 18 with flags for greater visibility.

Hole assignments will most likely be adjusted tomorrow at the end of check-in to avoid any twosomes. You may want to hang around tourney central until 8:45, when they will be finalized. Also, since there will be snow, you will be allowed to attach a ribbon to your disc to aid in finding it.

Welcome to Birdie Presents: The Basket Case at Broken Chains, a 2 round PDGA C-tier!

ALL PLAYERS NEED TO CHECK IN FROM 8:00-8:40 AM inside the church. I will be setup in the lobby between the bathrooms and the cafe. There will be a group of children in the cafe waiting to be picked up by their parents, please be respectful. Tee time is 9:10

All ams will receive their players packs at check-in, a Birdie Marvel and mini can topper.

The first round will start at 9:10 am, be on your hole and ready to go. Your starting hole is listed at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/56959. Second round tee time and hole assignments will also be listed here approximately 20 minutes after the last card is finished. Minimum 45 minues for lunch.

Thanks to Duffy, Troy, Christian Life Center, and all the other volunteers for getting the course ready!

It will be wet out there, all water is casual except the small pond on 16, the creek(marked with blue flags) on 17, and the pond on 18. You can play from casual water or take relief at the closest safe lie behind on the line of play. For the pond on 18, I will mark the ends of the pond in case it overflows. The pond will end at the flags and will be casual outside of the flags.

There is OB on almost every hole, please check the attached map and layout info and let me know if you have any questions at check-in. On some holes the OB stakes don't start until 100 feet off the tee(for example – hole 1), if you are short of the first stake you are safe as long as you don't pass the first stake(90 degree angle from tee). On holes where the OB stakes/flags end, the OB extends in the direction of the last 2 flags indefinitely unless specified in the layout notes. All OB info is also listed in the PDGA live scoring app.

Some OB stakes are far apart from each other, if you can not say definitively that the disc is completely OB, then the benefit goes to the player.

Layout:
There is only one tee on every hole. We will be playing all blue baskets except #13 and #16

Hole #2 – Blue basket
Hole #9 – Blue basket
Hole #13 – Yellow basket
Hole #15 – Blue basket
Hole #16 – Yellow basket

Pros will receive their winnings through PayPal. Ams will be paid in vouchers which must be used Saturday at the tournament.

We will be using live scoring on pdga.com/score. Enter the code “birdie” Please remember to make your scores official at the completion of your round. I will also have paper score cards available as a back up, you can also use Udisc as a backup if you would like. The PDGA live scoring is the official scorecard.

There is a new feature of the pdga live scoring. Multiple people on a card can use it simultaneously as a backup. It will alert you if there are any inconsistencies in the scoring. For those new to live scoring, check out https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/score/help for more info.

Is there a point where driving conditions could postpone the event?

Due to the weather forecast and the possibility there won't be enough players to get a rating on an alt layout; all divisions on Saturday will play to the same baskets. #2 - Blue basket, #9 - Blue, #13 - Yellow, #15 - Blue, #16 - Yellow.
