About this tournament
Welcome to the 2024 Birdie Derby at UAF Golds by Prodigy Disc! We are so excited to host this end of the season tournament to celebrate another fun, disc golf filled summer in Fairbanks! The tournament will be held at UAF Golds as long as weather permits. If there is an issue with the course, we will host the tournament at the Tanana Lakes Disc Golf Course-- stay updated through our social media posts. There will be an ace pot for the tournament. It will be a $5 buy in at check-in. If there are no aces during the tournament there will be a 2 round sudden death at the practice basket by big whizzy.
WELCOME TO THE BIRDIE DERBY
Come one, come all! We invite you to a casual round of disc golf at UAF Golds! Show up, get your discs, and play for only $30. The Birdie Derby is the perfect event for anyone and everyone curious about the game of disc golf. Take on the course with just your players pack and see who comes out on top!
TEE TIMES
( 1-ROUND SHOTGUN ) This will be a shotgun start, where players draw a number for start hole and then play the rest of the course from there. We encourage you to arrive around 45-MIN BEFORE TEE TIME to get your discs, flip for cards, draw a number to determine start hole and walk to your first tee box for a 3:00pm start. There will be 4 players per card. An average round can take up to 3 hours to play.
Scores will be recorded via the UDisc app. Players can check into the event upon their arrival. If players do not have the app, Cassi will check them in manually.
PLAYERS PACK
As part of your sign up, you get three discs exclusive to the Birdie Derby valued at $50 to play your round with. These discs are some of Prodigy’s most popular plastic blends and models with exclusive artwork.
Meet your teammates:
• Bert the Pigeon is ready to help you find the birdies on the Prodigy PA-5, a silky smooth understable putter perfect for everyone. It’s a great pick for a player learning to play for the first time to find immediate distance on your throw or putt with pristine accuracy, and a go-to for experienced players looking for an understable putter with a ton of glide.
• Albie is a curious Albatross ready to take on your Derby on the Prodigy A5, a slightly overstable approach disc in the stunning 300 Fractal plastic. The A5 has a nice, smooth feel with a shallow profile and flat top, which makes it ideal for sidearm approaches and fit for any player.
• Parker the Owl is ready to soar on the Prodigy F3, a stable fairway driver. The F3 is tailor made for long, controllable flights with a mild finish. It comes in the new ReBlend Premium plastic, a 100% recycled blend of plastics creating a sustainable and unique look on the course.

There will be prizes for the best score, aces, shots landing closest to the pin and many other fun awards!
This is a non-sanctioned round, so there’s no pressure. Enjoy a casual round of disc golf with your family and friends or meet someone new!
