Better Together! Peanut butter and Jelly, Eggs and Bacon, Coffee and Donuts, Burgers and Fries… So many things are better together, but NOTHING is better together than disc golf and giving!
This is a one day two round non-sanctioned bring your own partner doubles charity event with the goal of being able to bring help to Camp Rainbow Gold here in Boise!
This will be a trophy only event for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and only a general mixed division will be available. Bring your own partner and create a team name of your favorite “Better Together” pairing! Every player will also receive a one-of-a-kind commemorative shirt!
We will follow an Alternating Throw (PDGA Rule B.05.E) with a TWIST for both rounds:
1.Starting on the first hole, a team will choose an initial thrower; then, the team alternates throwers from the last throw's landing position until the hole is completed by either thrower. If Player1 completes the hole then Player2 will tee off the next hole, and vice versa. The ONLY time you will be throwing twice in a row will be in the case of a re-throw from the same lie or in the case of a provisional throw.
2. A team completes a hole when either team member completes the hole.
3. The score for a team on a hole is the number of throws by that team, plus any penalty throws.
4. A throw by the incorrect team member is a misplay and incurs one penalty throw. The throw is disregarded, and the correct team member throws. If an additional throw has been made after the incorrect team member has thrown, the team receives two penalty throws, and play continues.
5. For any re-throw from the same lie, the same player makes the re-throw.
The team receives a score of par plus four for any hole missed by a late or absent team member. If either team member withdraws or is disqualified, the team is disqualified."
Here’s the twist! It's a special way to donate more to Camp Rainbow Gold. We will be offering a new string idea! String will be available to purchase.
The pricing will be,
1 foot = $3
2 feet = $5
5 feet = $10
12 feet = $20
35 feet = $50
80 feet = $100
No more than 80 feet can be purchased per team. The string can be used at any time during play to extend any throw to help your game. For example, if you are 6 inches out of bounds, you can use 6 inches of string to move you back in bounds. Are you 6 feet away from the basket on your drive? Well, use 6 feet of string and that’s an ace! Be creative with how you use your string! Once it’s used, it's gone! All money used to purchase string will go to Camp Rainbow Gold!!
Camp Rainbow Gold is a nonprofit organization serving Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their families. What started in the mid-’80s as a week of camp for a handful of children diagnosed with cancer is now much, much more. Yes, Camp Rainbow Gold is still a summer oncology camp. But it’s also a sibling camp and a family camp. It’s a college scholarship program and a teen support group. It’s 365 days of making a difference in the lives of children, their families, and others who support them.

Hello! The tournament date is listed as May 10th but the schedule lists it as Feb 8th. Which is correct?
Sorry for the confusion, it has been moved to May 10th so we will be able to test out Veterans new course going in.
