About this tournament
1 round of play
Welcome to the Hill Country Hyzers USDGC Doubles Qualifier! This is a BYOP, Best Shot, 1 round flex start from 9 AM - 3 PM. Entry will be $20 / player for AMs and $25 / player for PROs, and payout will be done through PayPal. There is an optional $5 Ace Pot, as well. The top 25% in each division will be paid out, so there is a chance for some big money to be made!
If you want to play the famous Winthrop Arena Course (home of USDGC), then this is your chance! ❇️ USDGC Doubles qualifiers will be selected from the MA1 and FA1 divisions only. ❇️ However, we have multiple divisions other players can enter. YOU MUST BE CLASSIFIED AS AN AMATEUR BY THE PDGA TO QUALIFY FOR THE USDGC DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIPS AT WINTHROP! Further rules here:
https://usdoubles.com/
❇️ PROS CAN STILL PLAY THIS EVENT. However, they will not be eligible for the USDGC Amateur Doubles Championship at Winthrop. ❇️
All AMs and Mixed players will receive a tournament-stamped Innova disc. (❇️ Players must register by August 17 at 11:59 PM CST to guarantee they will receive a tournament-stamped disc. ❇️)
Cards will be limited to 2 teams. Different divisions may play together. All scoring will be done on UDisc in the "Events" tab. Only 1 scorecard needs to be kept per group.
All divisions will play the Olse 2.0/Main layout on the concrete tee pads.

Eligibility:
All players must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible to compete in the USDGC Doubles Main event:
The Player is not a PDGA member or does not have a player rating and has never accepted cash in a PDGA event.
The player has an Amateur Player Classification with the PDGA - meaning the player is classified as an amateur and plays in amateur divisions for prizes instead of cash. If a player plays in a Pro division and accepts cash at any time, they become classified as a Professional member. An Amateur class player has either never accepted cash, or if they have, they have later met the criteria to be reclassified from Professional back to Amateur with the PDGA.
A mixed group of Pro and Am-class players is not allowed.
Players who qualify as a team must play together as a team in the main event. No substitutions. No exceptions.
*All qualified players must register online by Sunday, September 10th. No exceptions.
USDGC Doubles Qualifers feature the "Win & You’re In" registration process.
If we are awarding more than 1 qualifier spot, the winning team will be invited to register for the main event right away. Any additional qualified teams will be sent information on how to register but will have a later registration date. We will communicate this later date and rule clearly when we send qualified teams the event registration information.
Invites to the Main Event will be based on the following:
MA1:
1-14 teams = 1 team qualifies
15-24 teams = 2 teams qualify
25+ teams = 3 teams qualify
FA1:
1-4 teams = 1 team qualifies
5-9 teams = 2 teams qualify
10+ teams = 3 teams qualify
