About this tournament
Putting Bracket Double Elimination Competition
This is a blind draw competition. This means your opponent for round 1 is totally random. Opponents for each round after are based on who advances in each round.
Objective
Be the first team to reach (or exceed) a score of 21 points at the end of an inning of play. Advance to the next round elimination style with the final objective of being the last team standing.
Putting Competition Equipment
2 Recruit Lite or MVP Lite Baskets, supplied by TD
4 putters per player, players choice, supplied by player
Putting Competition Distance
Basket Distance: Competition baskets will be placed 25 feet apart. Three matches may be played at any one time. Other matches will have at least 17-20 feet separating them from the nearest competition.
Rules
Disc Golf Putting Competition is played with two teams, each consisting of two players (doubles).
Players putt 4 putters from 25 feet at the opposite basket.
Players alternate putting their putter at the opposite basket.
After each team has putted four putters, players take score, and resume putting to the opposite basket.
The team who scored points in the previous inning goes first in the next inning. If it was tied, the team who went first in the last inning gets to go first again.
Putting Scoring
A putt that comes to rest in the basket or chains is worth 1 point.
Cancellation Scoring: Only one team can score points per inning. The team with the higher score cancels out the points of the opposing team in that inning.
Points Calculation: The team with the higher score in an inning earns the difference in points. For instance, if Team A scores 5 points and Team B scores 2 points in an inning, Team A earns 3 points for that inning.
Winning the Game
The first player or team to reach or exceed 21 points at the conclusion of an inning is the winner and advances to the next round of the bracket. The loser will then be moved to the losers bracket.
Losers Bracket:
Losers bracket is played the same as the winners bracket, with the winner advancing to the next round the loser being eliminated from the competition. The winner of the losers bracket will face the last team standing in the winners bracket for the championship.
Cash Payout: (Payout based on full brackets)
First Place: $200
Second Place: $140
Third Place: $60
