Bear Cave Fundraiser 1 presented by Rochester Area Disc Golf Association
About this tournament
Check in between 8:45 and 9:30 (tournament central is at the outdoor amphitheatre)
Players meeting 9:45
Shot gun start 10 am
Awards at approximately 1 (at tournament central)
This will be a 19 hole event using a custom layout. UDisc has been updated with the layout design. We have added a new 2nd hole to the everyday layout, modified the 3rd and lengthened both 15 and 16 into legitimate par 4s.
Registration money is going to Stewartville Disc Golf and RADGA… All of it. It will be split 80% to Stewartville for Bear Cave course upgrades (specifically baskets) and 20% to RADGA. We will actually cut a check to the city and present it at their Park Board meeting on the 11th of March! The RADGA portion will be placed in our general fund pending collective decisions on it’s use. All RADGA uses involve improvements to regional courses.
Sponsorships are going to fund the payouts. Please sponsor a hole if you are able. We have commitments already which will fund reasonable payouts, but the more the better! (caveat- if you do the 6x world champion sponsorship, that money will not go to payouts, but to the course upgrades as outlined). Stay tuned for sponsor updates, we will update and promote them!
Pro (900+ guideline rated field) will be playing primarily for cash with some merchandise
Amateur (<900 guideline rated field) will be playing for merch with some cash
Women will play for merch+cash
15 and under will play for merchandise
There will also be:
2 CTPs for the pro field (merch prizes)
2 CTPs for the Amateur, women and 15 and under field that are not winnable by pros (merch prizes)
Long drive for pro field (cash)
Long drive for women’s field (cash)
Long drive for amateur field (merch- likely a fast disc)
Long drive for junior field (merch- likely a fast disc)

Rochester Area Disc Golf Association is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
