Battle at the Bay 2017
About this tournament
Battle at The Bay 2017
You know all those crazy fun to throw mini discs that Discraft has been pumping out? Well, we thought, "Wouldn't it be fun to have a whole tournament where those are the only discs you can use?!?"
So... We decided to make it the format for Battle 2017!!!
Your player pack will include the 4 molds of Discraft Mini Throwers - We even have sponsors for a couple of them!! Discraft Mini Jawbreaker Challenger, Sponsored by L.A.F.D.A. and Joe Phipps; Discraft Mini Z Buzzz, Sponsored by The Throw Shop and Ben Calhoun; Discraft Mini Big-Z Undertaker and Mini Big-Z Nuke, Brought to you by 24 Cha!ns.
Entry Fees:
Gold Division - $50
White Division - $40
Gold for traveling trophy and White for all that don't think they can hang in gold. We're bringing back doubles this year, but with a MAJOR twist.....
3 rounds of 9 holes(27 holes) - You may ONLY use Discraft Mini Discs! You MAY bring your own if you don't want to use the new ones. You may NOT use any minis by any other manufacturer. Don't ask, and don't say you haven't been warned. Any player caught using any other disc, or even having it in their bag will take a penalty for every time they use it or every hole they have the illegal disc in their bag.
Round format for GOLD Division:
Round 1 Singles From the White tees.
Round 2 Singles From the Red tees.
Round 3 DOUBLES From the Blue tees - Your partner is based on the scoring from the first two rounds. If you are first, your partner is whoever is last. Second place partner is second from the bottom, etc... etc... until everyone has a partner. Odd number? That person is Cali. Your score is added to your total from the first two rounds. GOT IT???
Round format for WHITE Division:
Round 1 - Singles from the Red Tees
Round 2 - Singles from the Red Tees
Round 3 - DOUBLES from the White tees - Same format as above!
We're still kicking around ace pool and whatnot. Since this is still a 24 Cha!ns event, you know the drill: BRING CASH!! Be ready for pre and post round Long Drives and CTPs. We will also have several CTPs and Long Putts set up for the actual tournament.
Payouts:
GOLD division will have CASH payouts based on the number of players.
WHITE division will have PRE-SELECTED plastic payouts. We aren't bringing bins and bins of plastic. If you aren't playing for cash, you get the plastic we put together. Trust us... It won't be garbage, but you won't get your choice of molds and weights.
did I mention... CHAAA!!!!

Make sure you read comments and view schedule. Packs that have not been pre-sold will be available on the morining of the tournament on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. We won't be able to hold your place, so get there early!!
