Our Barkeater Disc Golf Club is thrilled to announce the Fifth Annual ”Barkmanship Throwdown.”
Registration is open for this singles, shotgun start, PDGA C-Tier event.
This event has partnered with the Paul McBeth Foundation to assist them in funding their course development initiatives. PMF focuses on developing and introducing sustainable disc golf experiences in underserved locations with limited or no access to the sport. There will also be a Paul McBeth Foundation prize pack raffled at the event, including a disc signed by Paul McBeth himself! All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Paul McBeth Foundation. Tickets will be $5 each, or 3 for $10. Must be present to win.
Cash awards for Pro divisions and Marshall Street vouchers for all other divisions.
Divisions with less than 3 players may be condensed.
The Barkeater course is across the road from Paul Smith’s Visitors Interpretive Center (VIC)
Parking will be available in the field near tee pad one or at the VIC.
Check-in begins at 8:30am followed by a 9:30am start. Round two will begin approximately at 1pm after a lunch break.
CTPs and an optional Ace Pot will be offered during the event.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Eli and Elevate ADK for their support of our course, and this event! They have been very generous, offering a donation towards the Ace Pot, and assisting us with purchasing equipment for the course to keep improving!
The Brighton Mini Mart in Gabriels has contributed a $30 gift certificate for round one CTP at Hole 2. The Scullery in Saranac Lake has contributed a $35 gift certificate for round two CTP at Hole 5. These CTPs will be for all participates, and in addition to the division specific CTPs. The lucky winners could get lunch in between rounds at the Mini Mart or grab a bite to eat from The Scullery after the tournament.
PDGA live scoring will be used. Players will go to the PDGA app or PDGA.com/score and type in the access code which is (11443) and then type your name or PDGA number and select your name. All players on each card must keep score per PDGA rules for 2024. Paper cards will be made available, if needed. Players and fans may watch the scores live at PDGA.com/tour/event/81661, or on the PDGA app.

If the MA40 division doesn't fill I am happy to play in MA2
Frank, your division is now set with three. Thank you for your flexibility. We moved a few others to different divisions also.
