About this tournament
Birdie or Die Doubles is BACK!!!
These events are a set of doubles events used to fundraise for BDGA projects, this year, we are using them to fundraise to replace old, broken, and slippery teepads at all our Lexington courses.
These will be flex start/tee times Bring Your Own Partner (BYOP) best shot doubles events, with tee times from 9:30am to 3:30pm each day.
We will have 5 divisions at each event, 1 Open division, 2 Capped divisions, a Mixed division, and a Woman's Division
Open - No Ratings Cap - $40 Entry
Advanced - 1850 Ratings Cap - $35 Entry
Recreational - 1750 Ratings Cap - $35 Entry
Mixed - No Ratings Cap (required minimum 1 Womens/MJ15 qualified player) - $35 Entry
Women's - No Ratings Cap - $35 Entry
Players with no rating will be given a “Default Rating” of 875
$15 from each team's entry will go to a fund used to purchase materials and tools for the maintenance committee to update teepads, move baskets, and trim up our fairways and paths to make our courses nicer and more welcoming. The rest of each team's entry will go directly into a cash payout pool for the division, with payout being sent to the top 25% of scores per division through PayPal. There will be an optional $5 ace pot for each team at each event. This is a 50/50 ace pot, meaning if no ace is hit, half the pot goes to BDGA funds, half rolls over to the next event. No ace was hit during the first event, so the ace pot will start at $45.
