Round 2 Start time = 12:30 PM
Discin’ for Dollars Doubles is a fantastic tournament brought to you by Avalon Disc Golf. This is a bring your own partner doubles tournament at the beautiful Earl Brewer Park. Avalon Disc Golf is hoping that you and your friends can come out for a fun, casual, tournament, with LARGE CASH payouts to the winners! There will be CTPs or LPs on every hole that continue for both rounds of play, as well as a player's packet provided by Avalon Disc Golf which will be a custom Avalon Disc Golf t-shirt! There will also be an optional ace pool and basket raffle (24 chain basket will be the main prize, and the raffle will include Avalon Disc Golf t-shirts, discs, and other items). Please note that a Google document will be posted with course information and specific tournament details, with hole assignments being posted on the Google document by 8:00 PM Friday night.
Format:
The tournament is an unsanctioned amateur event of 2 rounds, 18 holes each, of best shot doubles. The top 30% of the field will get a CASH payout. There will be 3 divisions available, the Advanced division for players rated 900 and up (MA1 and MA2), a Recreational division for players rated below 900 (MA3 and MA4), as well as a Mixed Division. The Advanced division will be playing the GOLD layout, the Recreational and the mixed division will play the RED layout. There must be at least 4 teams in a division, otherwise they will be moved. The division a team plays in is determined by the player with the highest rating on that team. Only ties for 1st place will enter the playoffs. We ask that you do not sandbag, please play in your proper division. You will be moved if you are playing lower than the PDGA rating of the highest rated player on your team. We were originally hoping to use Udisc live for scoring however, they are updating their platform and it is not quite ready for scoring. We will utilize paper scorecards instead (or use Udisc and write the scores on the paper after the round).
Registration:
We will be doing registration all through Disc Golf Scene, however if there is an unusual circumstance, please contact the team at Avalon Disc Golf and we will work something out. You will have the option to purchase additional Avalon Disc Golf t-shirts at registration (to be provided on the day of the tournament at check in). No refunds after 11 PM, April 14, unless extreme circumstances. If there are any questions, feel free to reach out to the team at Avalon Disc Golf via the contact us page on our website or via Disc Golf Scene (https://avalondiscgolf.com/pages/contact-us).
