Note to CASHLESS registrants: To help with ensuring that things are on time this year, I am asking that you are in the Cashless Pre-Registered line NO LATER than 9AM. Please and Thank You After 9AM we will begin preparing to accept the people on the Waitlist. We WANT registration to close NO LATER than 9:15AM. The sooner we close registration, the sooner the Players Meeting can occur and the sooner players can get out on the course.

PDGA has not yet made the scores for this event official. Delinquent round ratings would effect my recent total rating but not my age division eligibility. Others might have consequentially false high or low ratings for the current and future ratings periods.
Thanks for tweeking PDGA, Rick. Some other player can decide if they wish to make it an issue concerning their next division eligibility. That would be a direct player-to-PDGA appeal...as the TD did his job well.
Thanks Fred. I was quite shocked when I saw GRDoD and the April Anhyzer on the list. I notified him shortly after I received the email from him. Again, he was very apologetic. He does have a really busy schedule and being on the go all the time can affect one's work. Somehow the scores got put into the "International Worlds Registration" folder.

I'm hearing of 5+ hour rounds and tiny winner prize packs. ouch.
there's no use throwing around that allegation, it doesn't have anything to do with the contents of the winner prize packs.
I recommend light discs for lots of starters.. I don't see the problem
the point was that there wasn't a choice in discs when others were available. no use in beating a dead horse though.

Great tournament rick but I think the ratings are off.. shouldn't they be a bit different between playing long and shorts?
its not about making a mistake but how you handle it when it happens. You ran a very organized tourney and have been extremely responsive to everyone, awesome job.
I saw Rick work hard all day then he must have worked late to satisfy our wishes for a quick report of the scores. My need for immediate gratification should be subordinate to reasonable expectations of event organizers.

A couple AM3 players need migrated to AM2: Bruce Watson (909), Rob Rowe (919).
Even if this event fell within the two week period following the March 24 rating update, the two-week exception does not occur without the approval of the TD. Folks who registered for this event prior to March 24 are individually responsible for notifying the TD that they should be placed in the co ... more
Hi guys. On Friday, when I print the final registration report and the PDGA's information on players. I will make the decision of who goes where. If the PDGA indicates that a player has registered for the wrong division, I will bump them into the correct one. I base as many decisions on what the PDGA recommends and provides as possible. Thank you for your notification.
True to form, Rick goes the extra mile to help players who might have missed a technical problem.
Joe LaFollette April 8, 2015 at 1:20am

Letting cashless registrations hold their spots while wait-list / "willing to pre-pay" folks have to wait for morning no-shows, avoids telling people that they must pay ahead to get a spot. Some may say that setting a pre-pay deadline a few weeks before the event, feels like people can buy "cuts" in the line. I am mindful of the need to keep the sport available to folks with different funding priorities. And I applaud Rick for managing the complications that come with holding spots for both kinds of registrations. TO MAKE THINGS QUICKER and, to acknowledge the wait -listed and still waiting folks and, to appreciate those who only need to check-in, I suggest this. HAVE TWO LINES: 1) People who have registered with a spot who have not yet paid, and 2) People who only need to check in. (Waitlist people who took a chance by coming in might also use this line.) If you like I can make two signs that tell which line is which.
Two lines ARE definitely the intent. One for CASHLESS registration and one for PREPAID registration. Those who pre-paid should technically fly through a line, and those that haven't might be stuck in a line. I will have two staff members handling the lines. Fred, if I can count on you to ma ... more

Fred, if I can count on you to make the signs I would greatly appreciate it.... other than that, it would've been the normal flags holding up sheet of paper idenfying the line formations.
That is already the plan for morning of.
LoL ... great timing Amy.
One line and two "clerks" has been my experience elsewhere. I might have known you folks were "on it". I'll come early with the signs for those of us who are not so alert early before a game.
Thanks Fred.
Thank you Fred
Is there a "day of" fee for pre-registered players that have not paid? I'm trying to pay online, but don't think it's an option with a full registration
Day of is for people who have not stated their interrest. In the future....there will be cash only for pre-reg so there isn't a reason for pe0ople to not show up. I will not enforce a day of fee for this one.
....unless the registrant is NOT on the re-reg list
