About this tournament
We are proud to present the Appalachian State Disc Golf Experience featuring 2020 US Champion Chris Dickerson! The event will consist of a 2-hour clinic that is FREE and open to the public, and a fundraising event following the clinic that will benefit the Jim Avant scholarship fund.
This clinic is in conjunction with a Recreation Management class at Appalachian State. The students running this clinic will be receiving a grade and are operating on a $0 budget.
The clinic will be held at Sanford Mall on campus and will run for 2 hours. During the clinic, Dickerson will cover backhands, forehands, putting, the mental game.
Following the clinic, head on over to Durham park for a 9-hole fundraising round with CTP challenges and a Ring-of-Fire putting contest. Spots for the 9-hole fundraiser will be on a first-come-first-serve basis so sign up early to guarantee a spot.
First prize for the fundraiser - signed Paige Pierce proto putter
Second prize - Innova Sockibot orange swirly Star Destroyer
Third prize - one pair of Foot Fault performance wool socks
Parking:
Campus parking will be free open to the public on the day of the event. There are parking decks located on Rivers St and College St and the main faculty lot on Rivers St across from the Schaefer Center.
