About this tournament
2 rounds of play
A 6 year old little girl from my church needs our help. We have a chance to actually throw for a cause:
Sydney Claire is 6 years old. She was born December 19th, 2007. She lives in Moulton, AL and has a big sister Kassi. She was diagnosed with Aromatic Amino Acid Decarboxylase Deficiency (AADC) when she was only months old. It is a unique gene mix-up that she shares with only 100 other kids in the whole world. Sometimes her brain and muscles don't work together well and she has trouble breathing and eating. Children affected by this genetically inherited neurotransmitter brain disease have a complex mix of symptoms including; breathing difficulties, muscle control disorders, eyes deviate upwards, feeding difficulties, and tremors. The life expectancy of a child living with AADC is unknown because so few children are currently diagnosed and symptoms vary greatly. An AADC-AAV Gene therapy trial, originally designed for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, has recently been given the "go ahead" by the FDA in the USA for AADC deficiency. The 2nd Annual AADC international conference will be held in London, England November 21-22, 2014. Sydney Claire's family is making plans to attend the conference in hopes of her acceptance in the trial. If accepted, and we believe she will be, Sydney Claire would receive treatment that has enabled other children with AADC to sit alone, and even walk. To know Sydney Claire is to love her and to love her is to want to help her have the best life possible. Her family has to pay for 24 hour care while in London besides the outrageous airplane tickets.
We have a chance to do something special for a very special person. Please come join us. We will be selling Team Sydney stuff and are gonna cook in between rounds. Shooting for CTPs for every hole. And a 100$ ace pot before anyone puts in a dime.
Open divisions will payout 85% and AM divisions will be trophy only. All proceeds besides the ace pot will go to the Briley family. If Sydney's family are not selected when they get there they are giving all money collected for the trip to the families that get the final go ahead. Hope to see everyone I know out here.
