About this tournament
Ambassador Cup X! Year 10 of the ragingly popular and unique teams event is back, coming this year for the first time to Murfreesboro, TN and Central Valley DGC! This event is sponsored by Middle Tennessee Disc Golf Association! Thank you to Tara Cravens for helping to get this going.
Saturday, Dec 2nd. Team rating cap of 3840 with a new wrinkle this year of there also being a team rating minimum of 3700. Gotta keep out the riff raff. You want a chance to win, don't you? 3 of the 4 members of your team must be PDGA current. The non-current member will count as 960 toward the cap. You cannot be over the cap at the time you register. If your team goes over the cap at the November update, then you will of course still be allowed to play. You must provide at least three team members' PDGA numbers at signups, and the non-current fourth would count 960.
11/27/23 update the 3700 minimum is lifted, if you have a team that fits the cap and would like to play
It's $200 per team to play, with a cap of 18 teams as CV only has 18 holes. Entry will include fee to Murfreesboro Parks and Rec, cash CTPs, club fund, $200 ace pot (to payout if not hit) and other overhead like the trophy carving, etc.
Round 1 will be a 4-man scramble with round 2 as doubles. Your team decides the pairings, but you will not be carded together for round 2. The lowest combined score of the three rounds is the winner of a decent chunk of cash and, more importantly, the extremely badass and second-only-to-the-Stanley-Cup-in-coolness Ambassador Cup trophy. There are names on it so famous that you'd do anything to have your name carved alongside them. Who will lift the trophy this year? Surely not Papa Tony's Mafia...
I highly suggest channeling the team properties and chemistry of our four superheroes shown in the flyer. There isn't any team in the world capable of defeating them, but if you could just assemble a team kind of like them...then maybe, just maybe you could be victorious.

-Can my team be just one point over the cap at registration?
-Can I sign myself up four times and figure out a team later?
-We have more than one guy who isn't PDGA current, is that cool?
-If our team rating goes over the cap after we register, are we kicked out?
-Can anyone stop Georgia's bid for a 3peat?
