AHE Centennial Fundraiser Tournament Supported by Innova
About this tournament
This year, Alberta Hospital Edmonton is celebrating 100 years of supporting the Alberta capital region. It has also been one year since we partnered with AHE to install the Niska Paskwahk disc golf course. To celebrate both milestones, Edmonton Disc Golf Association is holding a casual, unsanctioned tournament to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation.
The tournament will be two rounds on July 9th, featuring competitive and recreational divisions. The recreational division will have a simplified course layout to make it perfect for those people entering their first tournament. In contrast, the competitive division will feature the addition of OB, hazard, and mandatory routes to the default layout of the course to increase the challenge.
As the primary goal of this tournament is to raise funds, there will be no cash prizes or trophies given out to the winners of each division. There will opportunities for everyone to win some other prizes though. Mental Health Foundation will be holding a 50/50 draw that goes for the entire month of July. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for the chance to win some fabulous donated prizes. An optional Ace Pot will be available, with 50% of the proceeds going to the winner(s) and the other 50% going to the foundation. If nobody scores an ace, 100% of the proceeds will be donated.
