About this tournament
Canada Day will be the grand opening for the Abbey Gardens Disc Golf Trail. This is a new 18 hole disc golf course built on the Abbey Gardens property near Haliburton Ontario. The opening day will not be a competitive tournament, just an opportunity to play the course and enjoy the Abbey Gardens property.
Along with a new disc golf course Abbey Gardens is home to the Haliburton Highlands Brewing and the Food Hub, a cafe and local food store, and an array of hiking trails, organic food gardens and activity areas for kids. We even have a pair of rare Ojibwe horses to visit on-site.
Your $20 greens fee for the day will get you a dedicated tee time and the opportunity to be amongst the first people to play this beautiful course along with a modest player's pack including items from Innova Disc Golf, Haliburton Highland Brewing and the Food Hub and a voucher for a free round of disc golf at Abbey Gardens on a future day.
Tee times are selected when you register.
You can register multiple people at a time to ensure you all get the same tee time.
We will have discs available to purchase and rent on-site if you don't have some already. Any kids 12 and under that sign up to play will get a free disc too.
The course has been designed with two distinct eighteen hole layouts. The shorter Orange layout is for newer players or those that want an easier round and measures in at 4700 feet. The longer White layout will be challenging to more advanced players and measures in at over 6000 feet in length. Both layouts have a par of 61.
