About this tournament

ATX Open
The ATX Open on December 4-5th, 2021 will be held at Roy G Guerrero and Met Center DGC. This event will be a total of 3 rounds with the FINAL round being held at Roy G with tee times. Saturday Dec. 4th will be 2 rounds of shotgun start. Dec. 5th will be tee times.

Innova Champion Discs, Mint Discs, Disc Nation, Rob w/ Southside Aces, Waterloo DGC, Southern View Classic Course in Lorena Texas, Zydeco Property Management, and City of Austin PARD.
Tournament HQ will be at Roy G DGC (400 Grove Blvd)- please follow the road all the way to the parking lot behind Hole 2. There will be practice baskets and a large field for warming up before the round. Obviously, if you have a starting hole closer to the opposite side of the park, please do what is best for you.
A pool- All PRO divisions and MA1
Round 1- Roy G shorts
Round 2- Met Center Longs
Round 3- Roy G Longs
B Pool- All amatuer divisions (except MA1)
Round 1- Met Center shorts
Round 2- Roy G Shorts
Round 3- Roy G Shorts
All PDGA rules will be followed during this event. There will be no 2 meters. No smoking, drinking of alcohol, or any illicit substances during play. If this is your 1st PDGA event, please read all the rules regarding tournament play!!! We will be using PDGA live scoring during this event as well as using paper score cards as a backup for safety.
We will be playing the courses by the rules stated on the tee signs at the course. There will be no additional OB or mandos created for this event. So please feel free to practice the courses normally.
There will be a raffle to raise added cash to the amatuer pools. Tickets will be available on Friday and Saturday all day. I plan to draw Sunday morning so people can pick up prizes. I will have an Innova disc catcher sport, custom dyed Halo Star Destroyers, Tournament stamped discs, and hopefully several other cool prizes.

No 2 meters.
Hole 15- If you throw over the fence into the apartment complex on the left side of the fairway, play normal OB rules per PDGA.
Met Center Disc Golf Course Rules
WHEN IN DOUBT, THROW A PROVISIONAL*

Hole 1- Fence on right side of fairway and beyond OB.
Hole 2- All tall grass is OB, play from the last known in bounds position. Pond is OB.
Hole 3- Creek and beyond is OB.
Hole 4- There are 2 mandos that must be played to the left (arrows on trees). Creek and beyond to the right of the fairway is OB. Water in the left creek near the basket is OB.
Hole 5- Creek and beyond to the left is OB. Road is OB.
Hole 6- EVERYONE WILL PLAY THE SHORT TEE. Creek to the left and beyond is OB. Road to the right is OB.
Hole 7- Creek and beyond is OB. OB to the left will be marked with flags until the concrete culvert, after that concrete ditch and beyond is OB.
Hole 8- Tall grass is OB. creek and beyond to the right is OB.
Hole 9- Creek and beyond is OB. Tall grass is OB.
Hole 10- Tall grass is OB. Ditch is OB from the top of the rocks (card ruling or take a picture).
Hole 11- Ditch is OB from the top of the rocks (card ruling or take a picture). Tall grass is OB.
Hole 12- Tall grass is OB left of the fairway, played as hazard is going towards the basket.If you land between the landing zone and the basket in the tall grass, it’s a stroke penalty and play it from where it lies. Concrete culvert by basket is OB. Creek and beyond is OB. Flags and beyond will be OB near the basket as well.’
