4th Annual Night Moose Open

Thanks to all the players who could make it out for this years event. If it wasn't for all of you who come out and support our disc golf club then this tournament would not even happen. I have met so many different people since I started golfing 12 years ago and am constantly meeting new players which makes some of the experiences even better. Thanks to everyone who comes out and plays in leagues, supports the club and enjoys disc golf with us.

Special thanks to Mark Manard, Jesse Whitlock, Scott Martinelli, Ben Calhoun, Mike Stratford and Gabe Cadorin. If it wasn't for these fine gentlemen the course would not look as good as it does. A lot of these guys have also helped out tremendously this year with not only the Night Moose Open but also with Thursday and Sunday Leagues. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to helping everything run smoothly.

I look forward to the DGLA Winter Cooperative Points Series and next season.

Yes Jay, Marco and everyone who had a hand in this years event it was great. The "Local" course is looking very good and was very fun to play as well as Willow. I love the rotating partner format. You guys really know how to make it fun and enjoyable.

REMINDER: We will be having a glow round and a players party on Saturday night at the Moose Meadows course. Not quite sure of the start time of the glow round depending on when the ACE RACE at Rolling Hills concludes. I would guess around 6-7 for the start of the glow round. BYOB and look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!!!

Sunday Night Moose will be bringing 100% payout ace pool to this event! Currently stands at $136 and will continue to grow, hopefully. I'd personally like to thank all our players and league administration for having another successful year.

The players list is all set. Look forward to seeing everyone out next weekend. We will be having a glow round on Saturday night after the Ace Race at Rolling Hills for any players that want to come out and a gathering after. Ace pool could possibly pay out around $300 if someone hits one, we are trying to work that out right now. If you have any questions let me know.

We are also having a work day on the Moose Meadows course tomorrow from 12-??? Adding tee pads and doing some trimming. Drinks and food for anyone who wants to come out and lend a hand. Let me know.

Sorry for any confusion but the 52 players max includes the womens division, so there will only be 48 spots available in the mens division. This is due to the fact that all players must get a players pack and we have already submitted the order. We have 49 spots reserved/registered already for the mens division so not sure if we will be taking people from the wait list. I am still waiting for some players with an invite to confirm their spot and will keep updating when field is maxed out or i ... more

I really hate turning people away but typically we do not even post tournament info on disc golf scene because it is a club tournament.

For those who would like to play in the Night Moose Open in the upcoming years the best thing that I can tell you is to come out and play in league rounds on Sundays or Thursdays. The more league rounds you play the better the chance is that you will get an invite and don't have to worry about trying to get a spot.

P.S. - Registration is open for the Ace Race at Rolling Hills that Ypsi dubs and other clubs in the area will be putting on. There is only 144 spots open so I advise everyone to get on the list because I have a feeling it will max out.

Tournament will max out at 52 players. If you are not on the list there is two spots I have left open because I have not heard back from them on their invite. I have started a waitlist and if the mens field does not max out at 52 the spots will go to those with the most league rounds played on the waitlist. It is a requirement to have at least 1 league round in Night Moose leagues to get a spot on the waitlist. Unfortunately we only have that many players packs and only a certain amount of room on the Moose Meadows course so we have to cap it at 52.
