We are taking part in the PDGA’s Competition Endowment Program. This means that the $2 per-player fee, plus the $10 non-active member fee, will be donated to the charity instead of paid to the PDGA.

So I heard there are two courses at the property. What are they called? Will B pool play one of them twice? Which? Thx! ;)

Gordon Kelley   October 9 at 11:11pm

Yes, 2 courses: the Kelly Course and the Olse Course. I put that pool info on the FB page a few days ago, but I'll get it posted here in Comments in just a bit.

Thomas Hapka   October 10 at 5:43am

Thx!

Thomas Hapka    October 9 at 7:20pm

Ive heard that there are two courses on the property. Will each pool play each

Gordon Kelley   October 9 at 11:00pm

Yes, there are two courses. Each pool will play one of them once and the other one twice.

Gordon Kelley   October 9 at 11:12pm

It used to be that each pool played each course twice. But then we were probably one of the last tournaments in the country doing 4 full rounds on a Sat/Sun event :)

Thomas Hapka   October 10 at 5:43am

Wow! Thx

Silent Auction
SATURDAY Only. While you are out playing Round 1 we’ll be loading down the tables with lots of cool items to bid on. At the end of Saturday, around 6pm, we’ll make last call for bidding and close down the auction. If you win any items, please collect and pay right then. If you aren’t around at that point you’ll need to collect and pay on Sunday.

Gordon Kelley    October 8 at 2:17am

We will have CTPs on both courses and both rounds on Saturday; winners can collect their prizes Saturday evening or Sunday.

For each round on Saturday there will be a:
CTP for All Players
CTP for Father Dave McC-Note Challengers only
CTP for Women only

So women McC-Noters will have 3 CTPs to shoot for each round.

Donations of Food, Household Goods, Toys, & Can Tabs
We will have a big box at Tournament HQ all weekend to collect canned, boxed, or packaged foods; household items and every-day necessities such as toiletries, etc. for all the families who stay at RMH. Toys and games for the kids are also welcome. Plus we collect jugs/containers of aluminum can tabs that RMH recycles for extra money.

It is Waterloooooooo so we'll have ALL our merchandise and other stuff out there at Han****
If you are on this list Waterloo DGC still owes you something like cash or merchandise payout, a raffle prize, player pack, trophy, etc. Just click this link to see if we owe you, everyone is listed alphabetically by last name so it’s easy to scan to see if you are on there.

For merchandise payout, it is “pick-your-own”.

Dgs website doesn't support emojis, so they turn into ‘????’

Got it Thomas, thanks! I'll keep that in mind when making other Comments.

FRIDAY DOUBLES AT WATERLOO

1 round of 18 holes, open to everyone. Bring Your Own Partner doubles, Best Shot (aka Scramble).

Teams register and pay when they show up.
Please bring cash to pay for doubles; it is just faster and easier. We should have a Square reader available for credit cards, but that really slows things down. NO electronic payments available.

We have to stop teeing teams off at 4:00pm. Main thing is be there early enough to play. The closer it gets to 4:00pm the ... more

Andrew Phinney    October 4 at 1:35am

Thanks Andrew, I just posted it in the comment above. I'll add a link to the info on the main "about" page of this site too.

Shannon Smith    October 3 at 6:02pm

Good afternoon Gordon
I realized I signed up for the mixed am too, and I would prefer to play in the FA two or FA three. If this will help, you can cancel my mixed am 2
But I would still like to be on the waitlist for both FA two and FA three
Please let me know you received this. And that this makes clear sense.
Thank you

Hi Shannon, Right now I show waitlist records for you for FA3, MA2, and MA3 (and under Shannon Papa, right? With the aspenmarl… email address?) The waitlists are really per pool, so if you get into Pool A which has FA3 and FA2, you could play either one; and if you get into Pool B you coul ... more

Oh hell, there were all kinds of paragraph breaks in what I wrote. I REALLY did not want that to run all together in one big paragraph, yikes!

Wayne Dillen    September 18 at 1:28am

I really regret that I won't be able to be there - I was very much looking forward to it, but life happens and something else came up. :(

Gordon Kelley   September 18 at 2:49am

Damn, sorry you can't make it! Hopefully it will work out better next year at the 48th Waterloo. Good luck with everything!

Wayne Dillen   September 18 at 1:26pm

Thanks! I hope so, too! Y'all have a great weekend (I know you will)!!

This tournament will again benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas (RMH); last year’s donation to RMH was $10,500, and the tournament’s grand total over the years is now $188,643.

Please consider the following support levels to help us raise more this year than last:

A. For a sponsorship of $400 (cash) or $600 (merchandise), or more: your logo or name on the back of the official tournament shirt and on a tee-box sign, on each course. Plus, you may display ... more

Hi, don't want to be a bother, but I was wondering if it would be possible for me to be moved to FA1? No problem if not.

Gordon Kelley   August 7 at 9:27pm

No problem Taylor, I've got you moved. The fee is an additional $5, and I believe you can go into your record and pay it.

How does registration go.from 124 player registestered to 180 and full.in less than 10 seconds unless golfscene has players pre-registered and prepaid just waiting for.8 pm to get here and boom they are all.in it's time to.boycot golfscene regestration they charge each person almost.6.dollars to regesture and probably some kind of membership to pre regesture for any upcoming tournaments so it was virtually impossible for anybody to use regular regestration today but. Maybe half those people will opt out and the wait list people will get in

Barrett O'Donnell   August 6 at 4:09pm

It's literally people just waiting for the time and having the boxes all filled and ready to go. I had alarms set and was out of the house and got on DGScene on my phone and registered right at 8pm. It wasn't a pre-register thing, I'm not aware of DGS having a membership. I missed the registration last year and waterloo always fills up faster than any other local event. Gotta be ready!

Gordon Kelley    August 5 at 1:41am

DAMN!! I double checked everything but turns out I should have triple checked it. one little box not checked. Waitlist should be working now! SORRY!!
