For the first time, Jasper hosts the Alabama State Flying Disc Championships!
$50 Open, $35 Ams. NO WALK-UPS; you must register before the deadline on August 28 @ 8:00 PM.
$5 Ace Pot. Since we will have two pools at two courses so that a throw-off is not feasible, if no aces are hit, we will have a drawing for four winners from all those who paid to enter the ace pot. Note that this not a winner for each pool but for all players combined so that the two winners could come from the same pool.
All Open payments and ace pot payments will be via PayPal.
$300 added cash for Open.
Am player pack to include one tournament-stamped disc and a tournament tee shirt. You will have the option to choose which mold and what size shirt you want in your online registration; you can make changes to them using the emailed link that is sent to you once you complete registration provided there are other molds and/or shirt sizes available. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGING DISCS OR SHIRTS AT PICKUP/CHECK-IN.
PDGA C-Tier event (unless we can get $750 in sponsorships for the added Open cash to raise it to a B-Tier, so if you want to donate, please let us know!)
Trophy only.
Two rounds, one at North Jasper and one at The Eagle. We will have two pools playing at opposite parks.
We will have one field game at North Jasper between rounds: Maximum Average Time Aloft. Each person will have five attempts where the player will throw a disc in the air and then must catch it for the effort to count. The time from the instant the disc leaves the player's hand to the time it is caught will be measured by a timekeeper. The player must have at least two successful catches so that the times can be averaged. Lavone Wolfe is donating InZone Quik-Stiks to the winner of each division!
Scoring will be done via the PDGA scoring app; no paper scorecards will be provided. Hole assignments and scores will appear on the PDGA site tournament page at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/46021.
