Hey Lee (and Scott)! I just wanted to say thank you for running this tournament again. I’m super grateful for all the hard work you put to put an entire weekend of tournaments together for both Ams and Pros. Looking forward to the opportunity to compete at such a nice course with such dedicated volunteers!

"Due to the size of the players pack, payouts will most likely be low."
So then don't give out a players pack with a Tshirt and disc that nobody really wants.
Interesting idea. The money can’t go to the td though. Depending on the tier 85-100% of net entry fees must go to the players. In most situations you also have to give out a players pack. But I definitely like the idea of a low cost event with small Players pack and trophies only!
I would. But certain people like blocking anyone who questions the TD on Facebook.
hi Mike - I am one of the admins on the FB page and have no idea what you are talking about - we only block/remove posts about duct cleaning and other spammers

I think that's a bold assertion to make after playing 3 sanctioned events. After playing over 150 events, with over 50 of those at the amateur level, my experience is the complete opposite. Amateur players love shirts, discs, and strong player packs. Secondly, it's very difficult to put on a tournament. This is a B-tier event, making it that much more difficult to meet PDGA's added cash requirements at the Pro level for this more competitive event. I encourage you to show a little more respect to the tournament staff and disc golf community. There is a far more constructive way for a person with 3 sanctioned tournaments under their belt to make recommendations to the TD staff. For example, on the club Facebook (a better venue than the tournament wall): "Hey, I'm a bit new to the tournament scene. Am I alone in feeling that it's more desirable to compete for higher merch payouts than to receive a larger players pack? Interested in others' thoughts?" From someone like myself who is lucky enough to find time to play with little to no extra time to volunteer, I appreciate all the grinding that goes into to making these events possible. These guys are champs!
