To Joe, and everyone at the Race, Bob and I had an absolute blast today. Y'all made us two grandparents feel like we were in our 20's again. Ok. Maybe our 40's! What a great sport is DG.
And, EVERYBODY better watch out for Ethan! The way he's playing with only a few months (and Joe's workshop!) playing, he'll end up in the DG Hall of Fame!!
Thanks.

Awesome, glad you had a great time, and I hope to see you both out on the course again!! And I hope we all can be as good as Ethan one day! : )

Unfortunatey I do not have them yet. They were ordered last Friday, my guess is I won't get them until Wednesday or Thursday this coming week.

Bobbi T    September 11, 2015 at 12:40am

Not a problem, Joe, if noon was the actual deadline time.

What shirts Tim?

Hey again Joe. I've forgotten the cut-off registration date. Help??

Joe Rutkowski   August 4, 2015 at 4:39pm

Ill probably send in the order on the 11th of Sept and stop registration at that time.

Bobbi T    August 3, 2015 at 6:58pm

Joe,
I have registered both Bob and I under my email address. My son, Jason Turnage wants to register too, but does not have a PayPal acct. May I use him on mine?

yes you can pay for as many participants as you'd like to just make sure to put his name in the participants box

I have never done an Ace Race before. So everyone is in the same division and then you get like (im making this up just trying to understand) 4 points for an ace, 2 for chains and 1 for any metal? Also if it is done mob style then all 50 players tee off on the same whole, once all 50 throw then everyone goes to the next? Or are they broken down into smaller "mobs"? Also, if they are discs you have never used before, is there time to practice a little with them to see how they fly? ... more

Dang Jeremy, good answer! This year I may break up the group into two mobs to help speed the time of play up. It really all depends on how many register. Last year we had just over 25 players and even in the cold rain we played quickly. Just to explain in a little more detail, really only Aces are c ... more

Sounds like fun, so it is 2 rounds then with lunch in the middle? I wasnt sure on that.

Joe Rutkowski   August 6, 2015 at 6:03am

Yes 2 rounds with a break in between

Bobbi T    July 26, 2015 at 11:01pm

Not a problem Joe. I do understand "phone type"! I also understand the maintenance problems. It really ticks me off to see all of the broken glass around the tees and on the course itself. There are many more trash barrels than there were last year! Why is it so hard for these cretins to use them?? Some people respect nothing. I'm just happy the dopers and thugs are gone. It's getting to be a nice park like it was when I was a kid. Thanks!!

Hopefully, Rum will have a couple of Port-a-Pots!
I think, and have mentioned to a worker there, that they should put 2 up where they tore down the pavilion by the first hole. Permanent ones! It's such a pain to have to stop your game, and either drive or walk "5 miles" to the only johns they have. And with more women such as myself joining the sport, we don't have the "equipment" to go in the woods! 😊

Its all about maintenance with that park, the less the better for the. It cost us $100 just to have 2 for a weekend last month so i dont see tge park investing either. Its unfortunate but its why South Side DGC does whatecer i can to make sure the course does not go neglected. I dont want baskets getting pulled do to vandalism/lack of use. Bobbi i will see if i can come up with an alternativ

Joe Rutkowski   July 26, 2015 at 8:12am

Wow i need to not leave comments from my phone, i apologize for the misspelled words and lack of sense that prob makes.

Joe Rutkowski    July 26, 2015 at 4:08am

I'll be working on a fun layout in the next couple weeks. Seeing as how everything will be under 200 most under 150 I may just play 1-8, 9 and 18 and play them from different layouts so we don't have to walk the entire course. I'll post something when I have a layout determined.

The putter is the coolest disc ever!
I do hope that will influence the distance a little.

It was announced today that the 2015 Ace Race prototype disc will be a putter.
