I understand and respect your concerns, however and respectfully, this info was made public well before registration went live in effort to allow you make an informed decision about participation. We were extremely selective in choosing courses and thought it would be a welcome treat to include Jones Creek, where division appropriate. Additionally, the folks at Fort Bend County have been extremely welcoming and supportive of Disc Golf and this is event presented and opportunity to demonstrate to them how huge and fantastic our sport is, on the biggest event stage. I feel very strongly the overwhelming majority of players will agree. - My fault on the MA65 oversight. I’ll remediate that asap. We hope you give it a chance and look forward to hosting you.

It wouldn't be so bad if there was some type of online payouts. On site only is creating an hour + drive the wrong way for lots of us

And for the record and the passive reader -We apologize if its inconvenient, but vouchers and/or ONLINE PAYOUTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE for this event.

I’ve asked this very question to the PDGA, as to how it should be handed. The reply I got was this: “It is the responsibility of the player to anticipate ratings jumps”.

To answer your question directly: You will not be automatically bumped into ma2 and you would go to the waitlist. If you anticipate this may happen, I’d be willing to add you to the WL now at no extra cost. I’d extend this offer to other players as well, as I think it’s the most fair solution.

Clayton, if you're a true MA3 player and your game improves to MA2 between now and then, no one is going to fault you for that. Besides, you're rounds are going to fluctuate while you're climbing. I'd tell you a story about PYMWYMI 1997, but it's long. Go play your tournaments and build your game, brother.

@kent. im not worried what people call me. im worried about losing my guarunteed spot that i have signed up for in MA3 and getting forced to the waitlist of MA2 (and potentially not getting to play) if my rating goes up.

2023 Texas States will be the first time EVER that MA3 has been offered. With the growth our sport has seen in recent years, the TX States committee saw an opportunity to provide the States experience to newer players. We are honored.
Players will play a mix of long and short tees at Deussen on Friday, and a States layout at Northside Christian Church on Saturday, both on tee times.
IMPORTANT NOTE* - All players will play 21 holes at Jones Creek Ranch Park on Sunday “ON SHOTGUN START” with an 8:30am tee time.
This will allow players to finish and make the drive back to Brock HQ to spectate the top cards of the DGPT event (if desired) or get payouts and make the trip back home.

Understood, I read this but was still going through the timing in my head thinking it might cut it close, but I supposed the top cards won't tee off until 2-3 PM so it might just work out. Thank you!

U bet man. Jones plays quick, even with 21 holes. I feel like you can be at HQ easily by 1pm, with top cards going out 2-3pm. We wanted to do our best to facilitate and accommodate y’all.

I would expect early to mid Jan The event will see $15,000 minimum added cash (with a goal of at least $20k). MPO and FPO will remain at Brock Park for the entirety of the event. I'll assume you're referring to this, so Yes. ANYONE aside from staff and volunteers specific to those two courses will need to purchase spectator passes. - "ALL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE A CODE FOR 50% off DGPT SPECTATOR TICKETS" (This code will be included in the "welcome message" sent via email with registration)
