May be a stupid question, but I don’t know the answer so here it is. Is there a chance for walk up registration or an other way to sign up

Is there going to be a designated warm up area ?

Matthew Halton Smith   May 16 at 12:59pm

Yes, by around tourney central parking lot by hole 1, there will be a throwing net and several practice baskets.

Jonathan Hernandez-Benitez    May 15 at 9:59pm

I have no idea as to how late this actually becomes since I’ve seen registration end. But I did just have something ultimately happen to pop up at just this moment. I have no idea if you can even give me my money back but either way I can’t make the event. Thank you again and very sorry for this late notice anyways.

Just wanted to confirm, Hole 15 will be played from the long teepad? The one with the bench currently beside it. Since there was no sign and it wasn't a new tee I just wanted to confirm. 449 ft on Udisc.

Would you prefer for the age protected am divisions to go after MA2? That's a consideration I hadn't thought of! We typically put MA40, 50, 60 earlier in the day to keep y'all out of the heat, based on a request we had several years ago and it's been much appreciated by those divisions in past years. Matt and I will talk about this tonight and make an official decision!

Chris Stick MacLeod   May 13 at 4:57pm

My only concern is Friday with school/traffic, Sat/Sun it's fine.

Adam Luthman   May 13 at 5:23pm

Heard! I'll post an update here once Matt and I discuss this evening. Thanks for the input Stick!

Benjamin Edwards    May 10 at 12:05am

If I am reading this correctly, all divisions will play the longs all 3 days? I look forward to some practice on the new layout this weekend.

Adam Luthman   May 10 at 3:21pm

Yes correct! All divisions playing the long layout currently listed on Udisc, par 57

Benjamin Edwards   May 11 at 12:04am

Thanks Adam.

LAYOUT UPDATE!!

We will be playing a new layout at UNC to celebrate the upgrade to A tier status! This layout is listed as "Longs" on Udisc (par 57), including new teepad positions on holes 10, 11, and 15 as well as a new basket position for hole 4.

Feel free to reach out via email if you have any questions.

I unfortunately need to withdraw due to traveling for work. I tried submitting a withdraw a few times, but I’m not getting a confirmation from it. Thanks!

Processed. The custom mini you ordered with your registration has already been manufactured so we were unable to refund that portion of your registration. I'll make sure we find a way to get the mini to you!

Adam Keel    May 2 at 1:33am

I am unfortunately gonna need to withdraw. My daughter’s birthday is the 16th and we were thinking about doing the party the next weekend but ends up that won’t work. Maybe I can get out there next year. Good luck to everybody!

I see the course last year on u-disc. Will MA60 group shoot short or long tee's?

Thank you Adam

Trace Brazil    April 29 at 8:55pm

Sorry for the silly question - I'm new here and have not played this course. Is the layout available on U-Disk so I can practice a round or two? Thanks in advance.

Adam Luthman   May 5 at 2:33am

The layout on Udisc that is most accurate currently is the 2023 Tar heel Open layout. We have made a few course changes over the past few months to improve difficulty level and course flow since this is our first year as an A tier! We're working to get Udisc updated with a 2024 layout

Jeff Nordgren    April 29 at 12:39pm

Shout-out grounds crew and volunteers- course is looking great!

Adam Luthman   May 8 at 2:35pm

Thanks Jeff! The course is in the best shape its ever been and we're excited to host a record size field and have a record added cash pool for pro divisions1

Finley Weaver    April 18 at 3:26am

What's the layout for MJ18? We played the 2023 TarHeel Open layout that comes up on UDisc today which was fine but if we are playing from red or something might be good to know sooner or later.

Side note: new tee pad on 10 is setting up right now. I saw 20 bags of crete and they already had maybe 8 poured. Thanks Jasper and Mark!

I'm so sorry for getting your name wrong. No excuses and for sure we can come help, poured some crete in my day and I'm not sure but I think my kids like to work as much as they like to frolf.

Matthew Halton Smith    March 6, 2024 at 8:05pm

We will be playing 3 rounds at the UNC course with tee times, Fri, Sat, Sun. The layout will be basically the same as last year, with new tee pads being constructed currently for holes 10 & 11.

Only 16 allowed for MA2 when it is part of the NC points series???

Matthew Halton Smith   February 29, 2024 at 6:37am

There will be more MA2 spots opening, we just wanted to give women and juniors extra time to register.

Caley Allen    February 24, 2024 at 11:21pm

Not sure if you are aware and I know it won't change anything, but this tournament is the same weekend as the PDGA WGE events. Sad face.

Matthew Halton Smith   February 26, 2024 at 1:19pm

Thanks Caley, we were hoping to make the event part of the WGE, but strict rules to offer all 27 women's divisions make it difficult for an A-tier. It would have been a great addition to the local ladies who want to compete at a higher level, include NC points series play, and play WGE

Caley Allen   February 26, 2024 at 2:14pm

I understand. I do. I am really torn. I want to play the THO as it is a great event on a great course and part of the point series. But I have a striking feeling I would be the only woman and then I wouldn't get to play in a WGE. Thanks for all you do!

Matthew Halton Smith   February 26, 2024 at 6:24pm

I feel like if i were able to make it a WGE event and host just FPO, FP40, FA1, FA2, FA40, we would get at least 16 women, who otherwise might not play another WGE based on location, but there is just no way we can support 27 female divisions, esp with tee times
