I did not get to read the comment and don't want to. This space is for disc golf discussion and there are kids who played and are reading this. I may not like everything that has been said or the tone of it, but the last I looked this was a free country. Everyone needs to remember disc golf is a game. This board is no place for slander or threats. Take this somewhere else or I'll have this board closed down.

Is there any way we can get this sack of last place taking * removed from disc golf and just put him in some community service program where he works with dirt dwelling farm animals. You would think when you are 80lbs of stacked donkey * you would keep your mouth shut. Hopefully he OD's on some home made kitchen meth that he makes and can no longer show up to events that no one wants there. Although you have to give it to him, to be able to wake in your moms basement and face the day and humanity, after you realize you mom is upstairs making you eggos and you have been jerking off to 1972 issues of playgirl for 3 decades, he still manages to show up. Hopefully he picks up a new sport soon, like sucking cow dick so he'll just go away. Everyone else, have a great day and looking forward to seeing all of you at the course."

Thanks for running events Bill. Trust me...you will never please everyone, so don't try to. We have had problems the other way where people pre-register (without paying) and then do not show up. Having them pay to pre register is the way to go from a TD standpoint (He has got to cover himself).

When you post an event a month or two beforehand it gets the word out,and people will pre-reg.

The TD is not showing the registered list of players because the only players to register are the 7 that are shown on this site and they have not paid. If people would preregister, I would show them. People just want to show up that morning and play. There will be a really nice players pack and payout for those who do show up.

We made it easy for people to preregister thru Q Hut where you can use a credit card over the phone... no pay pal or other registration fees.

As for the format, most 2-day tournaments are 72 holes. Canton was designed with 24 holes so you could play 3 rounds and have a 72 hole torunament. Traveling players could finish the second day, leave after lunch and get home at a decent time to go to work the next day. Recent Hall of Chains have turned into 96 hole endurance events stessing quantity over quality. Playing 2 rounds of 24 in Canton, then 18 and 9 in Massillon gives you 77 holes, traveling players can still get home at a decent time. The Final 9 gives players who might never play in Showcase Final 9 a little bit of that feel because it is different... there is more urgency in that last round.

I am trying to keep something positive going for Canton. Hall of Chains has a 21 years history and a lot of people would hate to see that end. It would be a shame if a few negative elements would keep people away from this tournament and have the Hall of Chains come to an end. Hope to see you all there Saturday.

Bill has been making stuff happen in your area for many years. I signed up for the PDGA at the Hall of Chains in 98. Give the guy a break. You might not agree with what he does, but you can't disagree that without Bill, there may be no disc golf tournaments or more courses in the area. Bill, thanks for running what I consider to be quality events.
