2025 Las Vegas Challenge presented by Innova

MA3 & MA4 is full. Based on how we have 6 pools laid out, we cannot expand these two divisions anymore. So, if you really want to play, sign up in MA2 AND get on the MA3 and/or MA4. I have looked at draft tee times over and over, and the current division limits for these two divisions are set unless a significant overhaul is made to most of the divisions. Still reviewing, but not looking good to add any more MA3 or MA4 spots.

MP60 players - Regarding the Longs versus Shorts survey, at this time 58% have "voted", and the score is 27% long and 73% short.

Regardless of current affairs for many other top-notch disc golf events, we and our partners are still here with love for the game, the sport, and the spirit of disc golf. Instead of increasing prices for spectators, the decision was made to not charge for spectating! Of course, we will offer the Platinum VIP or Full-Event spectator experience for a fee (both of which include a parking pass), but if you’ve been a VIP at the LVC, you know it is better than … in our humble opinion … the high roller status on the strip! We are looking forward to some beautiful weather in May, make your plans now to spectate, or play if you're feeling lucky!

To be clear, there is NO charge to attend the 2025 LVC as a spectator, but there is also no open parking. All parking has been reserved for Registered Players, Full-Time Volunteers, Vendors, Media Partners, Platinum VIP Spectators, Full-Event Spectators, Special Guests. Based on parking usage, it is expected that limited quantities of daily parking passes will be sold at $20 per day. The purchase of a Platinum VIP or Full-Event Spectator Pass includes a Parking Pass (plus another perk or two).

So…we have updated the 2025 LVC Disc Golf Scene registration page to allow for spectator passes to be purchased.

To purchase a spectator pass, select the "Register" tab, and under the Division drop down menu, select "SPEC - Spectator."

The Full-Event Spectator registration includes (1) Parking Pass & (2) Badge (for Firebird line [#2] on Saturday).

The Platinum VIP "Firebird" Spectator registration includes (1) Parking Pass, (2) Badge (for Firebird line [#1] on Wednesday & Saturday), (3) access to VIP Area in the Banquet Room (includes snacks & drinks), (4) a limited edition LVC 2025 champion tye-dyed proto glow Firebird, & (5) Meals with Volunteers (Thursday thru Sunday). Platinum VIP "Gorgon" Spectator - Includes same perks as "Firebird" Spectator, except disc is a Gorgon. Platinum VIP "Mamba" Spectator - Includes same perks as "Firebird" Spectator, except disc is a Mamba. Platinum VIP "Roadrunner" Spectator - Includes same perks as "Firebird" Spectator, except disc is a Roadrunner. Platinum VIP "Toro" Spectator - Includes same perks as "Firebird" Spectator, except disc is a Toro.

At this time, only the only professional division playing Course Infinite is MP40, whereas last year it was the MP50 division.  The longs for Course Infinite is going to be VERY hard!

The only divisions currently scheduled to play the longs is MPO, MP40, MP50, and MA1.  The MP70 and all Female Open divisions play shorts.

I turn 57 this year, and the long Innova & Millennium courses are just too long for me.  And for a 57 year-old, I throw somewhat far.  When working for the PDGA for two years as their Competition Director, I would assess FPO layouts based on my play.  I have found that there is an equal field of play between FPO and MP50...in my opinion.

For Course Innova, the long course is 9,107' long and a par 61.  The short course is 8,581' long and a par 68.  The short course is 526' shorter (or around 29' less per hole), and par is 7 more.  There are 6 shorter tee pads between the longs and shorts, and 7 par differences from the same tee pad.  We are NOT going to use a third layout for any course.  Even though 5B is 50' shorter than 5A, the two pine trees you have to throw through seemed to cause problems for the FPO, which is why the par is a 5, not a 4.  Additionally, Hole 7B is only a Par 3 and a Par 4 from 7A due to FPO scores from last year.  (Yes, the LVC course design team reviews a lot of scoring data from the prior year.)

For Course Millennium, the long course is 8,844' long and a par 60.  The short course is 7,408' long and a par 64.  The short course is 1,436' shorter (or around 80' less per hole, 300' less on Hole 12 alone), and par is 4 more.  There are 8 shorter tee pads between the longs and shorts, and 4 par differences from the same tee pad.  We are NOT going to use a third layout for any course.  I personally think that Course Millennium, Short Course, will be the most liked course from all six course layouts being used at the 2025 LVC.
In most cases, our short tee pads tried to mimic the throw-type from the long tee (lefty-shot, righty-shot, straight shot, etc.), so the look and feel of the fairway from either tee is similar.  The design team put a lot of thought into the short tee pad locations so the divisions utilizing such would enjoy the event as much as the divisions playing from the longs.  Over the years, I have received a lot of complaints that although it is fun to compare scores across the board and play the same layout, playing super-hard courses is not for everyone.  Trust us, the LVC short courses are still very hard!

So, with all this being said, please response with one of the following options:

1 - I would like the MP60 to play the longs

or

2 - I would like the MP60 to play the shorts

The MP50 division has been moved from the D Pool to the A Pool (and still tee around mid-day).

Neither of these Pool changes alters which course the division was assigned to play, but does change which days they play them.

If a division fills, get on the waitlist because we will be adjusting the divisions at least 3 times! You can also get on a waitlist and sign up for another division.

I noticed a huge decrease in spot for Ma1 and Ma2 this year. Will more spots become available or is this the cap? It looks like 50% less players will be in attendance in those two divisions alone.

Jeff, I will be adding a players name to my 250 ring entry early (mon -tues) next week.

Also, do I send the logo to you for the ring sponsor signage.

Is the players registration of 500 or 250 dates include sponsorship of all the courses as in the past or are you doing something different this year?

It seems unfair when it comes to early registration for the age protected divisions. There are very few MP40, MP50, and MP60's that qualify for early registration based on the 1025+ and 1000+ standard. Is this something that can change in the future?
