About this tournament
This event raises funds for the club that go towards new courses, current course maintenance, basket repairs, buying baskets, etc.
You're probably wondering "Why the Sinks and not Cloudland Canyon?"
There are multiple reasons!
1. Cloudland Canyon now has new requirements and restrictions that would have greatly increased our costs. This would have required us to pass along the increases to participants just to maintain our fundraising purpose.
2. 20 years of The Sinks! March will be the 20th Anniversary of The Sinks opening! What better way to celebrate than to enjoy the course on a different, fun and expanded layout of The Sinks?!
Now for details on the "different, fun and expanded layout" of the Sinks!
-- Layout:
-- We will primarily be playing the Short to Short Layout...but wait, there's more! It will be Holes 1-5 on the Sinks, holes 8-11 on the Narrows, then holes 7-18 on the Sinks for a combined total of 21 holes! There will also be OB in play, some traditional, some non-traditional.
-- Hole 7, 8 and 16 on the Sinks will have temporary, shorter baskets. These holes will be CTP holes, and the CTP winners, win the basket! These are mobile Prodigy practice baskes and,, as always, CTP entry for the Tags match will be free. There will be other CTPs as well!
-- 'Get Out of Jail Free' card. For $3, you can purchase a 'Get Out of Jail Free' card! What does this do? If you miss a Mando or land OB, it doesn't count for you! $3 buys you this pass for the entirety of the tournament!
We will not be doing day of signups. To play you will need to sign up through the Disc Golf Scene event page.
There will be 20 spots reserved for women for women until 1/31. After 1/31 any remaining spots will be opened for anyone to register. If your division fills before 1/31, I suggest joining the waitlist ($5 non refundable fee).
Extra tags will be available for purchase for your friends who cannot make it and tags will be available for purchase from various club members throughout the year.
