Is there a way to get a volunteer caddie for this event? Either some or all of the rounds? If so please advise.

Have the buckhorn changes been completed? If not, is there an eta?

Obviously this weeks Hurricane has slowed things. But we expect it to be ready by 9/1

Hi Sherry! Looks like you are in pool E, playing Cedar and Jones. There is a YouTube channel called 3 Decent Ams that has course walkthroughs of many of the Triangle area courses. The walkthrough of Cedar is a bit dated, and the course is still going through some changes that won’t be solidifi ... more

Cedar Hills Blues has a water carry hole 15 (7), I don't see in the caddie book that there is a drop zone. Will there be one? and if so, where would it be located?

Robert Leonard   August 6 at 6:53pm

Caddie books have not been published.

Robert Leonard   August 6 at 7:29pm

For clarification - the caddie book link currently only includes a layout guide. Full caddie books with maps, rules, drop zones, etc will be published closer to the event

Jonathan Parrish   August 7 at 12:48pm

Ahh, thanks for the clarification.

I am looking to book my flight and I did some quick math to try and figure out how late I need to try and get my flight for Sunday night. I looks like for the Diavolo course there would likely be 24 groups going out on Sunday starting at 8am. Depending on times between groups that would have the last groups teeing off at Noon (10 minutese) at the earliest and maybe 2pm (15 minutes) at the latest. Has a decision been made as to who would tee off first? MA40? then FP40 then MP40?? I know that thin ... more

Luckily the Airport is only 20-25 minutes from most of the area courses

Ken Koch    August 2 at 12:24am

With 44 people currently on the waitlist why can’t you just add another course to get everyone in?

Adam Harris   August 2 at 11:09am

I'm not involved with this event, and I have run several multi course events. What you are asking is simply not that easy to do. Need another course TD, course volunteers like spotters and set up and break down. Course prep in maint and OB marking. This seems like an easy fix, and its not at all

Robert Leonard   August 2 at 12:37pm

As a staff member for the event, I can address this. Simply put, its not as simple as finding another course. If were able to do that, we would have to contact all sponosrs and increase their support to cover player packs. Our tent we have rented for the opening ceremonies size would need to be incr ... more

Is there any way to find if any of those items are gluten free? I know the chicken can't be, since it's fried, but any chance that baked beans, BBQ pork, slaw and collards are GF? (No soy sauce or beer marinade and no flour thickening for instance) pretty please?

Robert Leonard   August 2 at 12:14am

We certainly can’t get other meats and we will make sure to alert people of food with gluten

Scott Elam   August 3 at 3:14pm

How bout giving them vegans the collards and us meatasaurus folks the mac and cheese... just sayin' :)

Are Jones and Cedar Hills cart friendly?

Sherry Herzog   July 29 at 9:12pm

Yes they are

Kevin Gilreath   July 29 at 10:03pm

They are very rooty but I didn’t have a problem.

Wendy Shepperd   July 30 at 5:40pm

Thank you!

Sherry Herzog    July 29 at 4:44pm

I see that a spot in the FP55 has opened up, can I please move to that division?

Andrew Sweeton   July 29 at 5:46pm

This was already done based on your email earlier.

Sherry Herzog    July 19 at 11:44pm

Really disappointed that the FP60 and FP65 weren’t allotted enough spots right from the get go. 4 spots in each?! Was really looking forward to playing this as it’s in my home state. Amateurs playing 60’s and 65’s were allotted more spots right from the beginning. Do you now know why more women don’t play?!

Sherry Herzog   July 20 at 6:31pm

So what you are saying is even though the pool has open spots they will not be allotted to those in a division with a waitlist because the division has met its cap?

Sherry Herzog   July 21 at 1:17pm

Most of the women who signed up for FP60 normally play FP65 but signed up for FP60 because there were only 4 spots for FP65. That’s not getting the numbers correct

Todd Moore   July 22 at 5:34pm

It's a tough call. I've played in over 50 sanctioned events the past 18mo and the MA50/55 division has shrunk considerably. But it could be a mix of what Sherry has highlighted in that if the pool size isn't very big or attractive then players are forced to play in a different divisio ... more

Andrew Sweeton    July 19 at 11:13pm

Changes to divisional capping have now been completed. Divisions of less than three have been collapsed. Where possible within course pools, spots have been moved from under-subscribed divisions to over-subscribed divisions. In total, 46 players were able to be moved from waitlists into the event. There can be no further changes to divisional capping, so any movement off waitlists from this point forward will only occur due to player withdrawals.

Randy Beers    June 28 at 7:16pm

There are many players on the wait-list for MP70 but only 4 spots available right now. If the division was opened up to more players then more players would sign up. No one really wants to play in a division with only 4 players. It is also preventing people from making plans and reserving flights and places to stay. Is there a plan to enlarge the 70 year old group? Would be good to know sooner than later!

keith johnson   June 28 at 7:20pm

Hey Randy If you look through the comments you will see where the PDGA has said they will adjust the pools on July 19th

Mike Herzog   June 28 at 9:54pm

why doesn't the Pdga just start off with bigger PRO divisions seeing it's called the Professional disc golf association? Asking for a deplorable friend

Let's hope we let more fp40 in 16 is low!

Numbers are increasing for fp40. Low in Kansas cause a lot of ladies didn't want to go play there at least that's what I was told from a lot who decided not to play

Todd Moore   June 27 at 6:07pm

Did they provide a reason why they didn't want to play in KS?

keith johnson   June 28 at 4:02pm

Todd…One reason could have been the courses they were assigned which BY FAR were the worst courses of the courses played….Read the comments from even top pros and World Champions about the courses about Peter Pan and Swope to get a try feeling about them.

Todd Moore    June 25 at 10:10pm

I looked to book a room at the host hotel but I could not find anywhere if it is refundable. When you call their reservation desk, they are clueless and no nothing about the event and when I called the direct number, it would ring once and hang up. Can anyone help me out with this please?

Thanks Scott, I already had that link. No where could I find anything that talked about refundable or not. Sure would love an answer from any of the event staff in the know.

Trace Brazil   July 15 at 6:00pm

Did you lock in a place to stay Mike?

Mike Hughes   August 20 at 3:49am

I did Trace. I'm staying at the host hotel but used their direct line. I think I'm paying a bit more but I know it is refundable and I extended my stay beyond what the discount rate allowed.

Trace Brazil    June 20 at 2:03pm

I apologize in advance for the questions, but: For Cedar Hills Pool E - are we playing Blue, Red or All Star Tees? For Jones are we playing the CADL All Star course or one of the color tee courses? Thank you.
