2024 Rising Stars Open

The Rising Stars Open is a juniors-only and beginner-friendly disc golf event that allows kids of all ages to be introduced to the game of disc golf in a competitive and friendly setting. The 2023 event saw 21 kids come to play their best disc golf on a wet and rainy December day. The weather did not dampen their spirits. It was brilliant to see the parents supporting their kids and forming what would have been one of the largest galleries of any disc golf event in New Zealand for three heart-stopping playoff holes. We hope the 2024 event sees even more competitors and even better weather!

All kids under 18 years of age are welcome to attend. The cost is only $20 and there will be a great players pack and an excellent course to play on. We will also have discs to loan out for anyone that needs them.

Check-in will be from 9am near hole 1 of Spa Park. There will be a players meeting with some game explanation around 9:40, and the kids will tee off at 10am. The kids will play 18 competitive holes in groups of 3-4, and there will likely be prizes for everyone involved!
