I think 60-80 got in last year. You remember what number you got to Stephen?

Kelsey Brakel   April 10 at 2:56am

I started somewhere around 50th on the waitlist last year, and made it all the way to second or third on the waitlist, but didn't get in. This year there is a smaller pool, but a longer period of time for people to drop. Even so, I would not be optimistic at 174th...

Bruce Brakel   April 10 at 12:36pm

Kelsey: I checked my text messages. You started at 50 and died at 3.

Bruce Moschetti    April 10 at 2:14am

Is the MA1 division going to be made available so that we don't have to reload the page and start filling out the registration screen from scratch exactly at 10:30pm EST?

MA1 won't be available until 10:30 when the additional space is added.

Bruce Moschetti   April 10 at 2:34am

lol that went about as well as expected. What a joke.

Bruce Moschetti   April 10 at 2:37am

I don't fault the TD's for this registration system. The PDGA needs to make this a lottery outside of the T1 invites. The mad dash is completely uncompetitive and discouraging to people who spent a whole year building the points to qualify.

Dustin Valade    April 9 at 3:42pm

Right, so I assume none of the other people have a shot to get in?

Andrew Smith   April 9 at 4:53pm

More spots in MA1 will open up tonight at 10:30 EST

Andrew Smith   April 9 at 4:54pm

As well as the waitlist

Dan Lyso    April 9 at 1:11pm

Thanks for the responses Andrew, I saw registration and was like damn didn't even grt a sec to register and it was filled lol...here's hoping we can get in tonight when reg opens

Daniel Miley    April 9 at 2:10am

Is the wait-list turned off?

Andrew Sweeton   April 9 at 2:26am

Yes, it will be turned on when the next tier opens.

Daniel Miley   April 9 at 12:37pm

Thank you.

Ashton Good    April 8 at 6:36am

Does that mean my tier can’t register

Andrew Sweeton   April 8 at 2:00pm

Correct, that time has passed, you can register on 4/9 at 10:30pm. There is plenty of space still in FA1 so anyone invited to FA1 in Tier 1 or Tier 3 can still register.any longer until

Ashton Good    April 8 at 6:34am

Is there no waitlist?

Andrew Sweeton   April 8 at 1:57pm

Right, it is only open to Canadians/Internationals at the moment, but it filled the available space for that tier. On 4/9 at 10:30pm Eastern the remaining spots will be added back in and once they are consumed the waitlist will start.

Jaden Phillips    April 7 at 10:54pm

Why is ma1 playing Johnson Park?

Chuck Phillips   April 9 at 4:34am

I am not sure why Johnson was approved this year. Hoping that there will be some modifications to it for the worlds. Everyone gets 2 rounds at Brewer, and 1 at Fallasburg. FA1 is playing Rotary Park 2X instead of Johnson Park.

Sierra Phillips   April 10 at 2:33am

I’d much rather play Johnson than rotary north … rubber tee pads at a major?? Fr

Andrew "Cheddar” Wonch    April 5 at 12:40pm

Are the courses set? I don’t understand why we are playing Johnson twice in an area of some many great courses. Very sad to play Johnson 2 times over the other courses in the rotation

I agree Johnson is a weak course in comparison to the previous 3 worlds I have played... Last year was Northwoods Black and Blue and this year its Johnson

Cam Owens   April 7 at 11:12pm

Completely agree! There a couple much better options! Hammond hills being 1 of them!

Justin Smith   April 8 at 1:18am

Hammond wasn't considered nor ready for an event like this. There's more logistics that are involved then having an amazing course. The parking lot is not big enough and other important amenities are lacking. Hammond is working to be able to host these types of events in the near future! Appreciate the Hammond Love!!

Steve 'Fanzi' Zaborowski    April 3 at 4:56pm

Spots should NOT be reserved for later tiers. I have seen posts from people who have qualified for this event and they are not allowed to register since their registration window has passed. This is the PDGA Amateur World Championships! For players to get invited in the earlier tiers they need to show excellence on the course and its wrong to make them wait so that later tiers have a better chance to get in. It is not in the spirit of competitive disc golf. I’m sure this opinion will be un ... more

I completely understand and support the Tier 3 capping as to help allocate tournament spots between national and international players. Would this tournament ever be allowed to fill up in Tier 1 or Tier 2? If so, then doesn’t it seem unfair that T1/T2 be disallowed from registering until the e ... more

Ryan Carter    April 3 at 12:58pm

What does it mean by the comment below? Like MA2 or other divisions?

“Registration opens for Invitees to choose a Non-invited Division”

Andrew Sweeton   April 3 at 1:02pm

It's very limited for Amateur Worlds as there are only two divisions, but at that point an FA1 player who was only invited for FA1, could register for MA1 if they wished..

Ryan Carter   April 3 at 1:48pm

Got you, so when the next drop occurs there’s only limited spots for MA1 remaining to join. That occurs on April 9th correct?

Andrew Sweeton   April 3 at 2:42pm

Right, and yes it's on 4/9 at 10:30pm Eastern

Paul Fenney    April 3 at 9:19am

Will there be more spots for Canadians as I missed getting in for my invite?

Andrew Sweeton   April 3 at 11:37am

The 37 remaining MA1 spots will be added on 4/9 at 10:30pm for Tier 4 available to anyone and the waitlist will also be turned on at that time.

Thomas Hapka   April 4 at 2:05am

Will there be a limit on the ma1 waitlist? Like 100 ppl or something? I think that would be humane to have some sort of limit and let us know what it is. Thx :)

Andrew Sweeton   April 4 at 2:26am

No, no limit, anyone that wants to sign up on the waitlist can.

Is there a waitlist I can get on I was first tier registration but had to see if my work could let me have time off and it won’t let me

Andrew Sweeton   April 2 at 7:00pm

The waitlist will be turned on for the next registration tier on 4/9 at 10:30pm Eastern

Victor Contreras   April 2 at 7:04pm

Ok thank you for the quick response

Felix Döscher    April 2 at 6:01pm

Are all international spots taken already ? I can not select MA1 and therefor not register for a European spot.

Andrew Sweeton   April 2 at 6:04pm

Yes, after the first two registration tiers, there were only 74 spots remaining. We capped the Canada/International registration tier to allow half of those spots (37) to be consumed and will add the remaining half of those spots (37) to be available for the fourth registration tier at which time the waitlist will also be activated.

Charles Rapp    April 2 at 5:26pm

I am already registered for Ledgestone, which finishes on Sunday 8/4. is it even possible to still make it up and compete in this event? I wasn’t really anticipating an invite this year.

Anna Larson   April 2 at 6:20pm

Grand Rapids is about a 5 hour drive from Peoria depending on traffic in Chicago.

Charles Rapp   April 2 at 6:40pm

Thanks for the response , but it looks like it just filled up so I guess my decision is made for me. Lol.

Chuck Phillips   April 2 at 9:52pm

You don't go through Chicago, I have made that trip numerous times. Take 55 N to 80 E to 94 to 196. You stay south of Chicago. Sometimes the traffic around Gary, Indiana can be brutal, though.

Fantastic!

George Watson    April 1 at 1:55am

Only 12 FA players signed up so far. Surely some of those 120 open spots would be given to MA players in tier 4 to meet demand right? Don't have points based invitations if you don't plan on giving those people invited by that criteria reasonable opportunity to play the event. The trans ruling has already pushed away so many people from the sport. If I were the PDGA, I wouldn't want to push away more skilled and dedicated players by making more poor decisions surrounding the one o ... more

Get that rating up George

Chuck Phillips   April 1 at 3:03am

There will be well over 100 FA1 players and will probably fill up. There is ZERO reason for the 289th rated MA1 player to take a spot AWAY from the 144th rated FA1 player.

Patrick Graziani   April 2 at 8:22pm

The above comments are correct. If FA1 does not fill, these spots will not be allocated to MA1 because FA1 is a separate pool with a different course schedule.
