Join the 2024 Newton County Disc Golf Club this year and help support our local disc golf community. We are offering a Club disc this year as well as a discount code to get $5 off of your PDGA Membership. Those 2 items alone are worth the $25 membership fee! We did a lot in 2023 and looking forward to doing a lot more in 2024.
In 2023 we were able to install a new course in Mansfield named Beaver Park DGC. It is very beginner friendly 9 holes with concrete tee pads.
We were able to totally remodel an existing course in Porterdale and added several new features to it as well. Putterdale has become a very popular course hosting sanctioned leagues as well as tournaments there now. In 2023 the course was able to host its first ever sanctioned tournament.
We were able to have 3 sanctioned leagues as well as a Bag Tag league in 2023 and hope to add more in the upcoming year.
We held a USDGC Doubles qualifier and sent a team to Rock Hill.
We hosted to charity tournaments and was able to donate $1100 to the Hands of Hope and donated 2 baskets to the local YMCA.
Our club president spear headed the Georgia Club Championship Tournament which drew in 13 teams/104 players.
