Hey will there be a final 9 for D2 or D3?

Chad Sullivan   March 7, 2024 at 2:16pm

Hello Alex, there will be a final nine for DI and DI Womens singles only.

Thomas Young    February 29, 2024 at 4:35pm

Hey there. Could you please switch Truman Hoy from the University of Cincinnati B team and Logan Rambo from the University of Cincinnati C team? Thank you!

Registrations can be edited by accessing the "Registered Players" tab on this page from a login of the PDGA number used to register. If direct assistance is needed because this function is not working properly, please send an email to [email redacted]. For all we know on here, your rival university could be swapping your players :)

What does the D3 waitlist protocol look like? When can a team on the waitlist expect to be made aware if they get into the tournament? The reason for my asking is that it makes planning for accommodations tricky.

Chad Sullivan   February 29, 2024 at 7:35pm

The waitlist is predicated on a one for one movement plan: one team out, one team in. It is impossible to know when a team will move on the list. As soon as a team moves from one division to another, or cancel their registration, the wailist is accessed for the next team up. We understand the planning is tricky with unknowns, but that is the nature of the wailist.

You might try looking at when Regional events are listed. I know we are currently registered for D3 but are playing in a Regional next weekend. The bids that go out there will move people out of D3.

A reminder again to all registered teams, and teams registering in the future, that ANY registration using "placeholders" for player information will be removed with or without prior communication. In order to register for the event a player MUST be current on their CDG membership, current on their PDGA membership, current on their PDGA official certification, and be on a roster submitted to CDG, in order to register for the College Disc Golf National Championships. "Player 1" or the same player repeated multiple times does NOT fit this criteria. Thank you.

Thank you

Landon Hight   March 4, 2024 at 2:59pm

In that case, "CMU B" needs to have no player 4 listed instead of a name repeated twice. We are actively looking for a fourth player, but we are bringing a DIII team regardless of finding one.

Chad Sullivan   March 4, 2024 at 3:55pm

Landon thank you for the information. I have updated that on registration

When can we expect to see the actual layouts of the courses we will be playing? As soon as possible would be ideal for all the teams who cannot get to the Charlotte area before nationals so we can prepare.

We will have as much information as possible in the competitors hands as soon as possible. Westminster Park East & Camp Canaan Riverbend are available to consume currently. We are polishing the layouts for the CDGNC Winthrop Lakefront course, and are building out the courses at Westminster Park ... more

Thank you so much!

Any update Chad?

Will there be practice round tee times on Tuesday?

Chad Sullivan   February 13, 2024 at 4:54pm

Practice rounds will be a first come first serve basis on Tuesday at this time.

Zachary Coleman   February 15, 2024 at 7:19pm

Sweet, thank yo

Chad Sullivan    February 7, 2024 at 2:57pm

Teams looking for accommodation options are encouraged to consider the host hotel at the Wingate by Wyndham Rock Hill. The Wingate is sponsoring the event, has agreed to a special rate of $89/night for teams, and can be booked by giving them a call directly at (803) 324-9000. There will be multiple Innova targets on property there for teams to enjoy & practice with as well!

How does the tournament work for women in the “individual” division? Do they only get to play the singles round?

Is it an option for an individual woman to be paired with another girl from another school?

How are the pairings of individual women made? Will you organize the pairings after registration closes?

Chad Sullivan   February 7, 2024 at 5:58pm

Please send questions and discussion to [email redacted]

Chad Sullivan   February 7, 2024 at 6:02pm

Women registered as individuals would be randomly paired together with another individual woman (assuming there is one available) for the team portion if they would like. They would be able to play all rounds, correct, but would not eligible for the competition side of women's team on the actua ... more

Is check in required on Tuesday? Or are we able to be there on Wednesday and check in at the course?

Chad Sullivan   February 5, 2024 at 6:40pm

Check in will not be required on Tuesday, but is highly encouraged. You will be able to check in prior to your first round tee time, but that will require arriving plenty early to the course as other teams will certainly choose to do the same. Competitors not already verified by the PDGA in Major competition will need am approved form of photo ID prior to teeing off.

Paul Roberts    February 5, 2024 at 3:42pm

Are we playing the lakefront layout that is currently in UDisc?

Chad Sullivan   February 5, 2024 at 6:36pm

No, the course used for the event will be a hybrid of the Arena Course used during USDGC & Throw Pink and the Lakefront course currently on UDisc.

Andrew Goeder    February 4, 2024 at 4:16am

Is there a date for when D1/D2 teams need to be signed up by before losing their spot? Just saw that no placeholders are allowed and wanted to get an idea so we can accurately register teams.

Kelsen Bluhm   February 4, 2024 at 9:33pm

I was told in an email from Chad that D1/D2 qualifying spots are held until late March

Collin Thompson    February 3, 2024 at 11:03pm

How far apart are these courses? With bringing multiple teams, we only have 1 vehicle to get all of our teams to different courses

Chad Sullivan   February 4, 2024 at 1:09am

Googling the car ride from Winthrop Coliseum to Westminster / Camp Canaan shows 13 minutes one way. Canaan and Westminster are on the same road, right next to each other.

andrew alvarez    February 3, 2024 at 6:00am

Would It still be possible to register our team with college disc golf and possibly for the national championship??

Alexis Kerman   February 3, 2024 at 11:54am

Hi Andrew if you haven’t done so already please email this request to [email redacted]

andrew alvarez   February 3, 2024 at 9:25pm

I have already submitted an email but have not a response back.

Where/how can I check if our players are certified officials?

Chad Sullivan   February 2, 2024 at 8:22pm

This is listed on their PDGA player profile page under "Official Status" just below "Membership Status"

Josh Hollier   February 2, 2024 at 8:39pm

Thank you!

If I sign up a team for d3 and we qualify for a different division can we just change divisions?

Chad Sullivan   February 2, 2024 at 7:58pm

That is correct, A team registered that then qualifies for DI or DII can be changed upon request.

Placeholders are not allowed. Registrations must be complete and accurate. Teams must establish who is competing prior to registering for the event.

Zac Goodall   February 12, 2024 at 4:41pm

Are we allowed to move registered players around? So for example move someone from our A team to our B team?j

Chad Sullivan   February 12, 2024 at 9:36pm

Absolutely Zac, you can edit team registrations through the Disc Golf Scene page. Any players in the mix for moving around need to have all the boxes checked outlined in the above post.
