2024 Candy Hollow Multi-Round Flex Saturday Glow Singles

About this tournament
This is an unsanctioned fun and family-friendly tournament.
Players of all ages, including kids and parents are able to register to play.
We will have glow tape/lights available for $5 (enough to make 3 discs glow) to help you set up for a glow round.
You may start playing an unlimited number of flex rounds starting at 2pm. Final rounds must be started before 7pm to qualify. Once a round has been started, it cannot be abandoned; a penalty of +2 throws will be assigned to your best round scored for any unfinished holes. Each player will receive a ballot for a draw item for each round they complete.
Prizes:
Cash payouts by category for INT, ADV, WOM - payable in cash if players stick around for results, or by e-transfer if players have left prior to results.
The majority of entry fees go directly into cash payouts, a small portion will go to CTPs, prizes, and snacks/candy.
Merch out for BEG and NOV categories.
Payouts for top 25% of the field rounded down up to a max of Top 3 in a category.
Division size examples:
1-7 players: 1 player paid out per category
8-11 players: 2 players paid out category
12+ players: 3 players paid out category
There will be prizes for the best costume!
Categories:
BEG - Beginner - 9 holes from shorts - front 9 only
Ideal for those who have never played, kids, or are still very new to the sport. Mixed gender.
NOV - Novice - 9 holes from shorts - front 9 only
For players who are familiar with the sport, have developed some skills but are still honing technique, and are not competing in tournaments regularly. Mixed gender.
INT - Intermediate - 11 holes from shorts - back 11 only
For players that are confident in their skills, and playing very regularly, including some tournaments. Mixed gender.
ADV - Advanced - 20 holes - full course mixed layout of shorts and longs
For players that are very confident in their skills, and are playing very regularly, including multiple tournaments a year. For more competitive players. Mixed gender.
WOM - Women - 11 holes from shorts - back 11 only
For women who want to play with other women.
Women looking to play a different layout can opt to join BEG, NOV or ADV.
If you have any leftover Halloween candy please bring it to the event. We will have bowls around the course for participants to trick or treat during their rounds.
Raffle details:
A raffle table will be set up between 2pm and 3pm. The prize draw will take place at 3pm. Tickets will be available at registration and on-site with all the proceeds going towards the Barrie Women's Disc Golf Club. We have some fun items already but are still accepting prize donations for the prize raffle so if you are willing to donate to the prize table, please let us know!
Volunteers:
If you know any volunteers (can be teenagers looking for community service hours), please make a note when registering or email to let us know their availability. Any player that registers a volunteer gets a free mulligan to use during the tournament.
Mulligans:
Players may purchase a mulligan at registration to be used during the tournament. All proceeds go to the Barrie Women's Disc Golf Club.
Ace pool: In the case of multiple aces, players split the pool. If no one aces, a throwing contest will determine the winner. The contest will take place during the event and results will only be used if no aces are hit. A skill test will be set up and one result will be recorded for each payer.

What if I’ve never played disc golf before?
Great. Learn to play with us! We can give you a bit of instruction before you try a few holes or warm-up at the practice basket. You can join the Beginner category, play from the short tees and try your best. This tournament was put together to introduce new players to the sport and the friendly disc golf community.
What if I’ve played before and wouldn’t consider myself a beginner?
Awesome! Bring your discs and talent to the Novice, Intermediate and Advanced divisions and play from the short or long tees against other players near your skill level.
