2023 UnderPar Open - Shorts
About this tournament
Welcome to the Inaugural UnderPar Open. In the past, I have run the Heritage Hills and we might bring that one back, but we will not be hosting that event in 2023. Rather than losing an event altogether, we have created this UnderPar Open concept.
This will be a 1 Round Shotgun Style event with a maximum of 72 players. For the UnderPar Open - Shorts, we will be playing all of the short baskets with NO Out of Bounds penalties. If your shot crosses an OB line, you would play it from last place in bounds, but without a stroke penalty.
As a totally separate event, (separate registration) there will be the UnderPar Open - Longs in the afternoon which will play the Heritage Disc Golf Course in its hardest settings along with some more difficult fairways outlined with Out of Bounds.
During the UnderPar Open - Shorts, you can elect to participate in a side bet, which will combine both Rounds 1 and Round 2 scores for a total combined score.
Since this is the UnderPar Open, one of our focuses throughout the day is shooting UnderPar. All players will get entered into a raffle for some prizes, including a disc golf basket. You can purchase more tickets, but you can also get a ticket for every bridie you shoot and if your score is underpar on the round, you will get a ticket for every stroke underpar.
Divisions will require a minimum of 2 players to be considered an eligible division. If less than 2 players, the single player will merge with the next corresponding division.
There will not be any trophies or players packages this year for this event.
Registration will close on September 23rd at 6 pm. We will not allow any more spots to open up after that time, even if the event is not full.

Refund policy
UnderPar Promotions is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event by September 23rd at 6 pm CST will receive a 100% cash refund (minus up to a $10 handling fee, disc golf scene fee, and any additional add-ons).
Once registration is closed on September 23rd, we will not allow any more spots into the event from standard registration, even if the event is not full.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event after registration closes will forfeit 100% of their entry fees
The official way to withdraw is to select the modify link that is included in your confirmation email, or you can go to the registered players above and select withdraw. An email or comment requesting to cancel is not an official way to notify staff you cannot play.
If a player on the waitlist is unable to participate due to no available spots being created, they would receive a 100% refund, minus the $1.34 disc golf scene fee. If a spot opens open up and a player is promoted to participate in the event, then the above rules would apply.
