With the USDGC layout having 2 sets of pins, will we be playing the A pins or B pins?

Has the event email gone out yet? I've seen multiple ask about the check in Thursday. I know my partner and myself won't be able to get down there prior to the event Friday and want to make sure we have the correct protocol down so we don't have any issues.
Seems the main response is to just give ourselves time on Friday to check in before our posted tee time?

Austin, that is correct. Email will go out tomorrow with the specifics, but yes check in will be getting to the course early on Friday. Player packs not picked up Thursday can be picked up at the Pro Shop located at Winthrop near Hole 7 on Friday/Saturday.

Curious if updates will be coming to us through email or be posted to disc golf scene? When you post teetimes will that come as a link in an email or will that be posted? Thanks so much we are looking forward to it!

Hello my name is Matt Ziegler my partner and myself qualified the the doubles tournament and currently on the waitlist. I’m at #26 on waitlist. We are from New Jersey and i was curious on what the chances are in making the event off the waitlist? It is a long drive for us to come down. Just trying to plan accordingly. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you

Planning wise I know that is a big trip to make without a definitive in place, unfortunately the nature of a waitlist is predicated on others cancelling or atleast notifying us of that. I have not received any cancels yet today.

That is no problem Juan, you will just need to reply to the welcome email with your plan and then give yourself plenty of time to check in before your tee time on Friday. Cheers!

We will build tee times and release them 24 hours in advance. If we feel good about the field being set earlier than that we may be able to drop them sooner.

That is great but I wish I knew that before I bought tickets for my son who is playing in the doubles event. Was this announced anywhere?

Nope it was not announced. It is an incredibly gracious gift extended to the Doubles field by the team at the USDGC & TPWDGC. Sorry for the disappointment.

Not disappointed at all. That is a great players pack gift for those that can go. I was afraid I had missed that somewhere before buying our tickets back in August. I'm sure I can sell the ones I bought for him.

Let them know you are competing in the USDGC amateur event the week prior and they should be able to offer you any discounts available.

Played in the event 2 years ago and came up on Wednesday and was able to play Winthrop and cannon on Thursday is that available again this year or is Thursday only practice day?

Winthrop is available to practice during campus hours, unless otherwise noted on site. The official practice day for the course is Thursday, as the course setup and prep will run up until then. Camp Canaan is available for practice Saturdays and Sundays, as well as the special practice day on Thursd ... more

Linda, Camp Canaan cannot be practiced Tuesday or Wednesday, but Winthrop is already available to practice. The course will not be officially full set until Thursday, Sep 27, but there is plenty of valuable practice available as it stands now.

That is correct Nathan! Both courses will be open for practice on Thursday 9/28. Camp Canaan asks that all rounds be finished by 5PM so they can shut down.

If I remember correctly, last year (before the big storm threw everything for a loop) the format was going to be: best shot on Winthrop, alt shot on Riverbend, (cut) best shot on Riverbend. Will that be the format this year, or will all rounds be best shot?

When the event email goes out the week prior, just let us know. You may check in on Friday, just give yourself plenty of time with an early arrival

It is open for play on campus year round. The Winthrop Arena course is will get closer and closer to event setup throughout the coming months. The official layout will be available for practice no later than 9/27

Question about camp Canaan- Udisc has this listed as restricted hours (Saturday/Sunday only). Will we be able to practice this course the week of the event?
